The usual story. Mom had some stuff for me to come get from cleaning out the attic some. I don’t think this is even half my cards. Mostly base set unlimited, if I’m identifying right. The rush of nostalgia that hit me like a brick haha.
Wondering if anything here is worth grading. Plan on getting everything in new top loaders. Seeing how it was all in an attic since probably 2006.
Stuff included is movie promos. Ancient mew. Qvc neo Japanese set. A whole pristine JP gym deck. Not sure the gym leader, it’s been a long time.
Grading is expensive, and not sure what all might even be worth it. Not that I’d probably sell. But times are tight lol. Some things are played with. But something are pretty decent. I swear I had a charizard somewhere. Pretty sure I still have a binder up there with my rarest stuff.
Just wanted to share because I see so many people sharing such cool collections!

does having the * selected underneath that matter or no? i wish i could explain it better, but there's their name with the salary, then underneath that it's their name again with a * next to it.

At the earliest (about 15) I would get the occasional flare up when sitting for periods of time in my SI joints, at the time I would mistake it for sciatica. The occurrence became more regular, but I was young and of course I thought it was nothing to be concerned over.
Going forward a few years while working on a dairy farm (always jumping on and off equipment, lifting, running, fighting calves,) the pain was completely unbearable. Dragging my leg/legs wherever I had to go with a somber attitude. “Why me?” “Am I weak?” “Is my pain tolerance really this low?”… It plagued my mind. How could old men and women in their 70’s get around better than me?
Bringing up these concerns and expressing my pain to the doctors didn’t work for the longest time. I was told nothing was wrong with me and that all X-Rays were normal until I had enough and went to the emergency room. I had enough of not being able to sleep. Getting up in the middle of the night, taking several minutes getting out of the bedroom and walking into the bathroom, only to pass out in the bathroom floor from pain.
From falling off of couches, to being told I walk like an old man all the time, it was the most devastating period of my life. My youth had been stripped of me.
Finally, after being sent to a rheumatologist after begging and pleading for a referral, I got the answer I knew was coming… AS.
Aside from eating ibuprofen like candy, and taking the occasional 75mg diclofenac, I feel as if pain is tolerable for now. I don’t want to stay on these medications… they are far too hard on my stomach and kidneys despite being relatively healthy.
Doc is seeing if my insurance approves a self injection immune suppressant, so I’m hopeful I don’t have to take these orals anymore. What do I do about insurance?
I’ve been active in the gym for months now. I feel as if it’s helped me more than anything. I’m scared to do anything related to legs as it seems that’s what always makes it flare up.
My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. I probably have it better than most here. Any advice?

I'm a dinosaur & am having trouble interacting with the app (free to use version).
The TikTok situation reignited an interest to pick up some Mandarin, and I've hit some questions where I can't distinguish the nuance between some sounds being introduced, in one of the male voices they use. But I can't find anywhere where there's any written lesson/description to help? The lack of that resource hasn't been a problem in the first unit, so I didn't initially worry about the fact that I was having to piece it together myself.
Is there a resource I'm just not finding somehow, or is this a pitfall of a free language learning app?
