2025.01.22 00:55 Aggravating-Guest-12 Has anyone cured their own depression or anxiety?
I have started having depressive and anxiety episodes in the last 3 months. The whole time I've been on keto, which usually significantly solves my unhappy moods, but not this time. These episodes can last anywhere from a day or 2 to weeks. Severe depression, misery, and panic attacks, including suicidal ideation.
I endured a trauma 4 months ago and I believe the ptsd is causing these, but I also can't shake the thought they are influenced by something else happening in my body. I took antibiotics during and after the trauma, and it gave me a gut die off,, but then I took probiotics for a month to try and solve it, and it did on the surface (digestion issues generally solved). But something is still wrong. I think I need to intensely heal my body and hopefully therefore heal my mind.
My question is, has anyone been able to cure their actual depression or anxiety (debilitating types) with carnivore?
I understand not everything works for everyone but I am trying to figure out how to be healthy and happy again. Thank you.

My current boyfriend and I met when we were 18 at our job. I was there for summer help saving up for my upcoming year of college, he worked there full time. We didnât talk much this summer other than when we were in big groups. The next summer I came back to work there and he was still there but this time we were placed working beside eachother. I had kept up with him by looking at his social medias every once in awhile before I came back because I always thought he was cute. He had recently gotten engaged to his girlfriend of almost a year.
We mostly talked with other people at work and never really just one on one. When we did it was dumb stuff like asking questions to get to know eachother and we would show eachother songs the other person should listen to. I had a crush on him for awhile at this point, which I hate to even admit considering he was in a relationship. In a way it started to get a little flirty, which I hate myself for. It was never in a way that we would talk about inappropriate things or anything like that. It was more so like just wanting to joke around with eachother and would throw things at eachother, we would also have random contests and the loser had to bring something in for the other person, it was super immature and dumb. We would all do dumb things like that together with our other co workers.
The last week I was there before I headed back to college, he gave me a note wishing me success in the future and that he was glad we became friends over the summer. I thought it was strange since he was in a relationship but also thought it was kind of
He ended up telling me about his relationship issues. He knew he shouldnât have shared it but he felt like he didnt have anyone else to talk to. He shared that she had been cheating on him with a guy and said once they get engaged, she would stop. So he just went and bought a little ring and proposed. She continued to cheat and lie but her excuse was once they got married then she would stop.
He shared how she broke a glass bottle on his head, spit on him, hit him, and wouldnât let him see his friends or family unless it was under her watch. He lost a lot of friends during that time and really only talked to her. I felt horrible for him. I never told him to dump her, but I did tell him that nobody should be in that situation.
That same week, he ended things with her and started messaging me. He was just talking to me about his issues, and we just started to get to know each other a little more, nothing serious. It was nice getting to know him on a deeper level, especially since we only knew surface-level stuff about each other. I had never had a boyfriend and didnât want one, but I liked getting to know him better. We hung out 2 or 3 times in the span of six months. It was all super casual, but we did get to know each other a bit. It was very on and off. Some months I would talk to him, and then I would tell him I didnât want to lead him on, so we would end up not talking. He shared that he really likes me, but I just didnât want to make that commitment. So we didnât talk for a few months. After about 5 months, we randomly started texting again. I agreed to go on an actual date with him, which I had never been on a date before. Ever since the date, we continued to actually see each other and hang out. Things got serious, but it took a few months for me to finally date him. He has been a great boyfriend to me, and his family and friends love me. We have been together for almost 2 years now. They talk about how they have never seen him this happy and that they finally have the old him back.
I just feel like a homewrecker and like I was the reason for the ending of their relationship and like a terrible person. I never want to cause someone pain and looking back I just feel so dumb and immature. I feel like we shouldnât be together because of how we met and I donât deserve to be happy, especially with him. I feel like when we have kids and I tell them how we met they will be disappointed. I hate myself and donât know how to put this behind me.
