The company had its positives—decent pay and HMO (though I never received the card). However, the management left much to be desired. They were overly client-centered and offered little support to employees. Their main focus was asking, “How’s your work with the client?” On the bright side, I have no complaints about my client—they were incredibly kind and understanding.
The most disappointing part of my experience was not receiving my final pay. They claimed it was because I didn’t render the 30-day notice. I informed them properly about my resignation and explained that my husband was in the hospital for a possible transplant, where I was the donor. Despite this, they still expected me to complete the 30-day notice, showing zero consideration for my situation.
To make matters worse, they accused me of stealing files, which was both baseless and stressful. I don’t know what they thought I would do with their files. They even threatened to involve local authorities, despite me keeping open communication and letting them know I was in the hospital.
I tried reaching out to the CEO and my success manager for reconsideration, hoping for a little empathy, but they ignored me—unlike how quick they were to retrieve their assets. The experience left me feeling unfairly treated and deeply hurt.
This company could have been okay, but their lack of empathy and support for employees completely ruined it for me.

Giving Home Assistant another try after a few failed attempts over the years and so far I'm making some decent progress, major props to all the devs of core and all the add-ons and integrations!
On my quest to automate and control things I'm looking to add some new smart devices but trying to keep costs down.
I have a gas heater in my garage that uses a basic 24v thermostat. I'm looking to replace it with something that I can integrate into home assistant, preferably Zigbee.
I have an ecobee in the house but the cost isn't worth it for the garage and not seeing any great used deals either.
Right now I'm leaning towards a Centralite Pearl. Seems to fit my needs and found an eBay listing for about $40 after shipping and taxes.
Any thoughts on the Pearl? Other options I should consider?

Driving home yesterday my 14 Eco lit up like Christmas with traction control and a flashing CEL. I was able to make it home and scan it finding U0100-71(DTC was under brake control, and the TPMS is no longer displaying)and P0300-00. The code didn't specify by the misfire counter was in cylinder 3. I found an old thread suggesting CRC QD on the ecm connectors. Unfortunately it did not help in my situation. I talked the shop that I use when it's outside of my ability but he can't look at it until Monday. He mentioned that the loss of communication can be anything electrical in these including the radio. Anybody with history and success please share.
