2025.01.22 01:17 digitalmush24 800 miles with 2 large dogs and 2 cats. Help with my logistics?
My current plans are to pay for movers for the bulk of my house. My partner (not moving with me) is going to follow me in my RAV4 with the 65" TV and 3D printer, and he's going to fly back home. I'm going to drive a cargo van with the two dog kennels, 48"x29.5", plus two cat kennels, 36"x23" stacked. This has been the only way I've figured out how to transport everyone at once. I know kennels like Ruffland are safer, but I ain't got that kind of money right now. They're safer in wire kennels than if they were free in the back, right?

Am I too old to join marines?
I am 24 years old and have been considering the marines ever since highschool. But after I graduated I got offered a sweet job with great pay but no benefits. Long story short that's been my life ever since. No structure no brotherhood no community. No insurance (health, dental ect.)
For some background I was raised on base, up until I was 12, because my dad was active duty air force. I am aware that air force and marines are drastically different. I am just referring to living on base and that atmosphere is what I'm used to and grew up with.
Now for my details. I am physically fit, (not overweight)I workout 5 days a week. I am a great runner and good at following orders. Will I have a severe disadvantage am I more likely to fail? Or it doesn't matter as much.
I'm hoping to get responses from people who joined around my age and had the same questions as I do. I am looking to get as much out of the military as possible and maybe a life career.

this piercing is repierced (originally pierced september, repierced december) and i really canāt tell if this is an irritation bump or a keloid. i recently got a keloid surgically removed from my ear so hopefully im not prob to keloids.

Voldy obviously wants a 7 part soul- 6 horcruxes, 1 piece in him. In his hubris, he doesnāt consider that Harry is an accidental one. When he comes back in GoF, he makes Nagini a Horcrux too (7 to him including the bit still in him, but actually 8 to us readers).
We donāt quite know the timeline of when exactly he did so, but I think itās safe to say sometime between when he kills Bertha Jorkins and when Nagini attacks Arthur (when Dumbledore asks āin essence divided?ā) I think it must have been after he got his body back, though, which makes the timeline even shorter- between the summer after GoF and right before Christmas of OOTP. Thatās only about 6-7 months.
If that idiot had just WAITED and realized he had made Harry into one, he would never have made Nagini one (and therefore disrupting the powerful lucky 7 with āunluckyā 8, btw I think Chinese folklore believes 8 is unlucky). Voldy says āluck and chance, those ruiners of all but the best-laid plansā are the reason Harry still thwarts him.
And to some extent itās true- Harry has gotten extremely lucky in several close escapes, as he says himself. BUT WHAT IF the seven horcruxes were actually magically powerful enough that they could have swayed Voldyās luck? What if 7 actually WAS the right answer, and Voldy never made Nagini because he realized what had happened? Maybe he would have been the āwinnerā of the prophecy.
But making 8 made it unstable and unlucky, ruined his chances. That, plus the unicorn blood cursing him to a half-life, kinda doomed him to fail his endeavors, with or without any elder wand hijinks.
This isnāt a really serious theory, definitely not a headcanon, but I think itās an interesting speculation.

I (24m) live in PA have a 2 year old English red lab that I inherited from my parents when he was 8 months old, he is now 2. For the past three days he has been shaking his head A LOT. i thought he just had a bug bite or some snow in his ear cause he would do it when we were out on walks or right after the walk. Then last night he started to scratch and cry when he scratched it so I looked at it and it had brown clumps in his ear and smelled bad so I looked it up and it seemed like a yeast ear infection so I purchased some droplet stuff from amazon which will be here tomorrow; But when I looked at his ear tonight its almost completely swollen. He doesnt seem bothered by it other than the shaking of the head and scratching, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and dont have the money or insurance to take him to a vet. Please any advice is helpful as I am very worrried about him.
