2025.01.22 04:52 Big_Albatross_3050 Question about out of province voting

I'm doing a work term, but in the event Ford calls an early election, does anyone know how I can absentee vote. My address is still my parents in Toronto, since I'm still in school and haven't moved out permanently yet, so I'm still an eligible Ontario voter

Why did the V3 cast not just pull up the stats screen to see that Tsumugi had one kill after Rantaro died? Are they stupid?

2025.01.22 04:52 mission-implausable Pandora and Spotify missing from Android Auto

Using a Samsung Galaxy S23 and unable to get either Pandora or Spotify to show up in the infotainment system when using Android Auto on a '25 Subaru Legacy Sport. Both worked fine in Android Auto in my previous car which was an Acura RDX.
Anyone have ideas for how to fix this?

2025.01.22 04:52 PomegranateHeavy4908 Any recs. for easy day trips outside of Tokyo to small country/mountain towns?

I [M21] am traveling to Japan in early June with a small group. We will conclude our tip in Tokyo and are looking for an easy day trip to an area with cool mountain town or country vibes. We are not experienced hikers, so maybe something chill. I've been seeing a lot of recs for Kamakura, Harkone, Okutama, Nikko, Kawagoe, etc. We are already planning to visit Kamakura/Enoshima, and the others seem to be the go-to places, but are there other niche places that are worth checking out?

2025.01.22 04:52 CyclingSkater How can I reach my fire goal faster than 9 years?

I’m 28 and I am on track to meet my first goalpost of a million in 9 more years. This is based on an interest calculator maxing out my 401(k), HSA, and Roth IRA every year for 9 more years. I began investing in my early 20’s at some point and gradually increased my contributions as I made more. I still live frugally (don’t own a home yet) but I throw all my money into investments/savings.
I’ve been working to some degree since I was 13 but legally since I was 17. I’m tired and my goal is to retire early. I will likely wait until 50 to actually retire and would have around 4 million by then but working for another 22 years sounds like hell.
How can I reach my first fire goalpost faster than 9 years? What age did you fully retire? Is there any harm in retiring too early?

2025.01.22 04:52 PsychologicalLead358 AI Infrastructure

I’ve been following APLD since the summer and they seem like might have gotten into the Data Center industry just at the right time. With Nvidia investing $180 million, along with others. Also just recently getting a $5 billion investment from Macquarie that fuels HPC expansion and AI data center leadership.
Maybe APLD will get a chunk of the $500 billion AI infrastructure bill that Trump is laying out?

2025.01.22 04:52 mathandkitties Those who have nonagon tattoos arund your buttholes, how long did yours take to heal?

Hey gang. As implied by the title I’m planning on getting a tattoo involving a fusion of the nonagon infinity symbol and another symbol from a series I’ve loved since I was a child, around my butthole. I’m pretty set on getting this tattoo, around my butthole, and I’m sure I should put it around my butthole. I have one tattoo on the inside of my left inner vulva. I think it would look sick as hell on the inside of my body, but for professional and pain tolerance reasons I’ve ruled it out. If you’ve gotten a nonagon tattoo, around your butthole, or considered it, how long did yours take to heal?

2025.01.22 04:52 BeechHorse Is it acceptable/safe to pull a ceiling box into the attic and use it as a j-box for recessed lighting circuit?

I am installing recessed led’s (not the wafer kind but 2 and 3 inch deep recessed) and the wiring is old but works fine. Can I just pull the boxes the surface mount lights were attached to into the attic like this, secure them to joists and branch off them for the led recessed lights? (I know they need a cover).

The wood is some 2x6 covering the holes from these boxes so I can fill and patch.

2025.01.22 04:52 Walk_Upstairs What Happens Next?

Longtime lurker and newer DM here, running "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" currently with a group of mostly newbies. One of my players has mentioned planning a downtime activity that I could easily shine on (ie "Nothing happens") but I think deserves more interesting consequences. Having been blown away by and already used ideas from this sub, I don't think you all will disappoint.
To summarize, I intend to make aboleths the BBEG. An artifact deep in the lair in "The Final Enemy" will be heavily implied to have caused that enemy's aggression in the first place, and after investigation will be revealed to act like an antenna for the aboleths' enslavement ability, letting them spread these artifacts across the realm and indoctrinate people in the highest halls of power without having to travel and risk physical harm. For any Mass Effect fans out there, think of the Leviathan DLC.
The player in question decided to play a half insane Kenku warlock with amnesia, giving me free rein with filling in his backstory up until the first session. I've decided he was formerly an academic from a university dedicated to studying the arcane. His team was researching one of the artifacts, unsure of what they'd found, but keeping it under a number of wards and protection spells while they studied it. The artifact was violently taken by a secret society that wants to harness the mind control powers, and in the scuffle, the Kenku was severely affected by the artifact. His mind shattered, he followed the will of the sinister voices in his head, yada yada, jumps off a cliff into the sea with daggers in his back while offering his soul to an ancient sea dragon. Not sure how we get there yet, but I'll figure it out. On to the question at hand.
On what was meant to be a quick side quest to the Dreadwood, the party came across a tree covered in runes. Beyond it, the land was visibly slimy. The idea I'd had was that this warded tree was a post in an invisible fence that contained the influence of, you guessed it, an aboleth artifact buried away by ancient people that didn't know how to destroy it. So what does the Kenku do to this bit of world building I expected to be noted and promptly forgotten until later in the campaign? He blasts every last rune in a fit of insanity while the rest of the party watched uneasily and I watched mouth agape. After the fact, I'm stoked because this fits so well into his backstory (has he really shed the chains of his watery masters?). Later the party came across a clearing near the center of the forest where a group of humanoid skeletons lied with obsidian daggers in or near their bodies, the soil directly beneath them bare, and plant life struggling to grow for some distance around. Another bit of place setting, I'd thought with no chance of it coming up again. I'd figured some cult had done some blasphemous sacrificial ceremony that effectively salted the earth, but hadn't put more thought in than that. The Kenku collected up the daggers because birds like shinies.
Now the player is mentioning that he'd like to carve the runes from the ward tree into the blades of the ceremonial daggers to "see what happens." I could say nothing at all happens, but isn't this too serendipitous not to have a cool answer? What do you think happens? And thanks for reading this far.
