I feel bad saying this but how do I be niceless avoidant to my roommate’s boyfriend? I tend to avoid him when he’s around because we haven’t talked much. They’re super happy together and I’m glad of that but also it’s lame losing your default person to a relationship. I think I’m projecting some of that sadness onto him.
I also just don’t feel the most comfortable around men in general so I think it just makes it worse. Part of it is honestly probably jealousy too because it’s literally her first match from her first dating app. Like what the hell 😭
Anyways yeah I feel like if I say this to straight people I sound insane (maybe I do here too) but I needed to share somewhere

What was your quality of life like living in harrison vs JC?
The commute seems to be pretty much the same, harrison is cheaper, but to me harrison feels a bit like a ghost town with new apartments. Did JC make your life comparatively a lot better with access to an objectively better city, and why? Thanks

It feels like when I have an excited feeling about a position, I end up being rejected or simply soon after realize the listing was probably too good to be true or it was misleading.
Basically… I should stop applying to jobs I get excited about. They likely seem too good to be true and that’s why I’m excited deep down. But that probably also means I’m either under-qualified (even if it seems I have a shot (I.e., the job qualifications don’t explicitly exclude me) or something about the job really is too good to be true.
