So I've been working with Python for the past 5 years, and consider myself very well versed in it. Mainly, I have been building data pipelines and APIs at an enterprise level as well as on a personal level (side projects etc.) and so I saw myself repeating the same setup to my codebases over and over again. I asked a few subreddits and friends if they would benefit from the codebase I built (which I will describe below) and I got so much support I was shocked that this could be valuable to people. But after sharing this project on the first day I got tens of users using it and giving me constructive feedback. But what is it exactly?
It is a FastAPI codebase that you get access to, that has the following:
- Automatic auth endpoints with Supabase (sign up & login) - Fully async endpoints + ORM (SQLAlchemy) and migrations with Alembic, using supabase postgres - Deployments ready with a simple Dockerfile that can be deployed to Render.  | Hello! Looking for insight from the Dark Powers on my ruling of Aura of Desecration in my game. TL;DR I feel confident in my ruling of the effect of this powerful spell, but I question whether it's worth pushing for it at the expense of my cleric's fun. The 7th level cleric of the party cast this spell for the first time in a combat against the Abbot. Here's a screenshot of its text as of Jan 21 2025: https://preview.redd.it/uvzz8xw52hee1.png?width=487&format=png&auto=webp&s=d177ced2ee7d086c84c27f6b20866dfa7bd93ab8 I ruled that because the Abbot didn't enter the aura when it was cast, in the sense of moving into it, he wouldn't take damage instantaneously, and instead make the save and suffer its consequences on the beginning of his turn. That way the cleric didn't get cheated out of the damaging effects of his only fourth level spell slot, yet simultaneously prevented it from becoming a multi-turn necrotic fireball of regeneration-interruption. To me, the spell is designed as a punishment to enemies for being near the cleric and not an instantaneous AOE damage spell. Now, my cleric wasn't thrilled by this, but after some debate he eventually agreed to my ruling. My concern then, is here: as DM, I feel my ruling is perfectly valid and in keeping with the intent of the spell, but I don't want to squash his desire for a powerful character. For clarity, this player isn't problematic, though he has power-gaming tendencies. He was upset with the ruling but was respectful of it, and I've enjoyed having him at my virtual tabletop. I recently released a simple extension. I thought since the Chrome Web Store already provides a landing page, I wouldn’t need to build a separate site for it.
As always, marketing is hard, and sharing a super long URL doesn’t look great.

I dropped an iPhone over my 3 month old’s forehead from almost 2 ft while trying to take a picture. The corner of the phone hit about half an inch above her eyebrow and immediately formed a dent where it hit. She screamed for 2 mins and went back to her normal self while we rushed her to the ER. There was a small swelling but she was smiling and looking around during the 10 mins drive and in the ER. The Doctor said she is alright, CT is not necessary and the dent could be from the force on the layers of her skin. We were in the ER for almost an hour before we left home. LO is being her normal self except for some spit ups and a lot of lip smacking.
Internet says lip smacking could be a form of seizure. I’ve scheduled an appointment with the paediatrician tomorrow. I feel something could be wrong with my baby. I’m very worried. Do I have to take her to the neurologist?

2025.01.22 04:35 Salty_Apricot1627 Am I getting scammed or should I do this?
I was looking to buy an item from a seller and they would have to ship it to me. I noticed that the "buy now" button was greyed out on the listing and thought that was a problem on my end, fixed it, but it was still there. Told the seller I was unable to buy it off of Facebook and they said it was because they don't have an account to receive money on there or something? So I asked if they preffered PayPal goods and services or Venmo would be okay to do, they said they didn't have accounts to either of those. I then suggested Zelle, they said they dont' have a chase or Zelle account. They only want me to send a check in the mail (this is many states away btw) and then they will send it out via post office.
I asked if they are able to Make accounts to any of those methods they said no. Does this sound like a scam? the seller seems legit, has multiple 5 star ratings, but obviously I'm still uncomfortable with sending a check before they ship the item out, but I really want the item . The seller gave me their address to eh check and the name matches the person that lives there, and they seem a but older, so I'm just wondering if it would be possible trouble with technology or a flat out scam. Advice is appreciated!

I’m writing to say good things about my 2008 furnace quitting during the cold snap. I had two problems as diagnosed by the HVAC tech sent by my home warranty company: a dead Nest thermostat, and a dead damper motor. The tech replaced the thermostat, got it running for the weekend, then replaced the blown damper & motor yesterday. No charge - everything was covered by my home warranty company. I’m grateful for a smart HVAC tech who got us up n’ running temporarily and then permanently, and who convinced the warranty company it was all covered parts & labor. All I paid was a $50 call charge. I know a lot of people right in with complaints, I’m just writing in to say I’m glad that I got somebody that hooked us up with a relative quickness and kept the cost reasonable.

2025.01.22 04:35 Ok-Archer-863 Private Charter Intro Mission not showing up on Xbox
I think everyone’s on the same page with this game not being up to standards, to put it nicely. I’ve seen posts and comments of all varying extremities and I have to say, it’s borderline unplayable for me.
I get docked for taxi speeding when I’m doing like 5 knots - mildly infuriating but not enough to throw me off. But then, I do a mission to a relatively smaller airport, and all sorts of issues come up. When announcing arrival, it announces the wrong runway and I get docked for that. The aircraft will randomly hit turbulence, stall and enter a spin that I can’t recover from. And the EFB won’t work to update flight plans to the avionics and the plane will pick a whole different route, making autopilot virtually useless.
My most recent issue (which I’m hoping I’m lucky enough that someone on here will have a solution) is that even though I’ve unlocked the Private Charter Service specialization, I’m not getting the gold intro mission to get started. I’ve got almost every certification on the aircraft side of things, and I have no idea how to proceed. I’m trying to advance on career mode and not be stuck doing cargo or flightseeing.
As someone who sold a PS5 to buy a new Xbox specifically for this game, and who has a CPL checkride looking and wants to practice procedures and chair flying with the harsh Canadian winter, I hope this game comes through.
