 | It's a big shame that we never got to the Arsinoitherium in King Kong 1933 or the 2005 remake. But we all can agree that it would've been awesome to at least have that big mammal in the film. Now of course in the '33 film it was supposed to chase the sailors in the jungle where it confronted Kong, later replaced by a Styracosaurus and then decided to ax it. Then with the Legend of Kong Kong it was given a chance to reappear, then sadly the movie wasn't made in the '70s. Untl Peter Jackson's King Kong was finally made. Yet sadly, the Arsinoitherium never got its limelight. Now, that being said, I would always standby that the Arsinoitherium is part of skull island even though it wasn't shown in the book nor in the movie. But by seeing that illustration by Greg Broadmore who once worked at Wētā (or still does). Anyhow if the Arsinoitherium were to be part of Peter Jackson's skull Island, what would be its name? I have a few of them. But I would love to read yours.

Hi all, I’m a big supporter of Cork Airport and really wish that it continues to grow but it’s so hard to share the love when it continues to be so difficult to fly to. I’m based in Dubai and I normally fly to Dublin and then drive down but I was thinking for my next trip to just fly through Amsterdam. However I was shocked at the price increase versus Dublin it was over 20%. To be honest I’d be willing to deal with the price increase versus Dublin to avoid the drive to cork but then the layovers in Amsterdam are over 5 hours which really negates the benefit. It seems from my research klm have significantly increased prices on the cork flight since aer Lingus are dropping out. Is there any real info on klm increasing service on cork Amsterdam ?

So I've been looking through this sub and saw that not many people are aware of very simple rules of thumb when it comes to dressing up. As a beginner, you need not worry about questions like "do navy worsted wool sports coats go with X chino", and the like. Save that for when you're a fashion expert.
Instead, for a good-looking fit just try to be consistent with your top and bottom wear:
- Color temperature: warm with warm, cold with cold. Do not put on a brown jacket with dark-blue jeans, as their temperatures clash.
- Color saturation: bright with bright, faded with faded. Do not put on a bright-colored top with faded pants, as their saturation clashes.
- Clothes fit: tight with tight, loose with loose. Do not put on tight pants with a loose top, and vice versa. You'll either look like a ball on sticks, or a centaur with the two hind legs missing.
- Formality: casual with casual, formal with formal. Do not put on a suit jacket with jeans. You'll look like you've raided your dad's wardrobe.

graphic/sensitive trigger warning but is it normal to have graphic dreams? i’ve been having them my whole life but im not sure why. some graphics dreams i can recall is of a random baby being boiled alive. another is watching two random girls i’ve never met before being tied up in a chair in a jungle and watching them get eaten by monkeys to where you could see the bone. another is when i was 6 years old, i had a dream of my older sister’s doll torturing me. i would also used to have dreams of fictional characters turning evil and killing each other when i was young. i also remember a dream that i was at my grandma’s house and one of my grandma’s angel statues came alive and started torturing me. i’ve definitely have had some more weird dreams like this that i can’t just remember at the moment. could there really be a cause for any of this?

How should I handle a situation in which I co-own a midsize custom product business with a friend that we both founded and built up since 2021?
In Q4 of 2023, our Etsy store generated over $600K in sales, while my Shopify store, dedicated solely to the laser engagement business, made under $90K. However, in mid-2024, my Etsy account was banned, and with Shopify sales declining, we decided to halt production of the laser engagement sector.
My friend convinced me to let his sister take over this part of the business without any formal written agreement. The verbal understanding was that she would be entirely responsible for sales, production, and shipping. We provided her with the necessary infrastructure, and she volunteered for us all to be equal partners in this sector. She created an Etsy account in her name and started digital advertising and extreme discounting without my approval—only with my friend’s.
When sales increased, she did not fulfill her responsibilities in production and shipping, claiming she didn’t want to do it. Consequently, my IT employee, who has other critical responsibilities, had to handle the production. She has been absent from work since early December but is now demanding her share of the profits. I have refused to pay her, arguing that she didn’t fulfill her part of the agreement, while my IT guy did the work.
Now, my business partner is angry to the point of blackmail, threatening to report me for selling counterfeit custom Stanley cups, which I occasionally do for events as a solo venture.

last week my parents found out that i had been smoking weed and they tested me. i tested positive for THC, cocaine, and benzos. i was shocked by this so i did another test and tested positive for THC and cocaine. 2 days later, my parents tested me and i tested positive for THC and cocaine again. i dont know why i keep testing cocaine positive but i thought that maybe it had something to do with the fact that i take prozac. the last time i smoked weed was the night before my parents first tested me. im almost certain that my cart isnt laced. i really hope someone can tell me why this is happening because my parents think im a cokehead and this is a terrible situation im in.

so i just got home from work and tried to turn on my faucet cuz i forgot before i went to work and no water came out. my first action was to put a janky heating pad on what i think are the pipes... i live in a trailer so my pipes are underneath.. why im saying what i think are the pipes is cuz they werent metal pipes, it was like a silicone tube or something.. anyways i put the heating pad on those silicones tubes and then turned off what i think is my main water line lol. clearly i dont know what im doing but i got quoted $400 for someone to come out and heat them. anyways before i turned off what i think is the main water valve i googled the only thing on the meter itself which was "neptune" and the name itself implies water and when googled, a bunch of other water valves came up so i figured that was it. it was way different piping than what i put the heating pad on. actual metal pipes with some kind of black wrap over it. so after that i went back inside and opened up my sink faucet to relieve pressure (bathroom sink toilet and shower was working by the way) now im sitting here wondering if theres anything else i can do or if i did something wrong

Having a little trouble managing heat and humidity in my small space. Getting upto 40*c on hot days. I've also got 6 clones in 5gal pots week 2 of veg in another tent nextdoor which doesn't help the high humidity. And the dehumidifier isn't helping with the temp either. Anyone had successful grows with high Temps? I'm a lil worried the buds are gonna be airy and larfy as you can see I'm getting leaf tip burn from the Temps I assume. I'm feeding about 9 liters daily for the w widow, the cheesecake is about the same every 2 days.
