I'm (M32) struggling with this thought pattern. I have historically been afraid to discuss my genuine interests believing people would think negatively of me. I talked to my therapist about it, and she encouraged me to be open about my interests. When I opened up to her, she said that it was a great feeling to see me get excited. We were talking about this in the context of both making friends and attracting women. She also added that while my interests don't vibe with her, surely someone out there would.
Fast forward, and I am trying this out. I go to a dating event and no women reacts negatively to me, but no one seems to be relating to me. I find that I'm doing 90% of the work trying to get them to open up to me and they seem like they don't care about what I am interested in.
So, while I am sure that there are women who enjoy things I do, there just are so few out there that I am unrelatable at the moment. I wouldn't say these are odd, but I am saying that I am a lot less unrelatable. Here are my interests: TTRPG's (D&D), science fiction TV (Srar Trek), philosophy, classic literature, and trying different beers.
When I approach women at single events, I usually say hello, and follow it with asking what they do for fun. That's when I tell them what I like after they ask me the same question. I haven't managed to get a date. I use the same information for my online dating profiles with the same results: no dates (or matches).
I don't want to lie about what I like, but I can't help but feel that I am not relatable.
Ladies, should I lay off what my interests are? Should I take up interests that are more relatable, e.g., sports? Is my approach bad? And please, don't just be nice to me and tell me that there is someone out there for me because I have been single my whole life and if it was just going to "naturally" happen, it would have done so already. You ladies don't like something about me and this is the best I can come up with right now.

Hello! Given the applications for 2025-2026 open soon I wanted to come on here and see if anyone had any comments or experiences that may help me select regions. I don't use or post on Reddit ever so sorry if there was a more efficient way I could have done this. Also, I'm applying from Canada if that makes a difference.
My ideal place to live would be a city with some kind of access to an airport. I'm 22 and like living in or near places with lots to do and see (think student populations, public transit, nightlife, diverse people/other immigrants). I hope to travel on weekends so airport/train access is really important to me. Living somewhere with access to the ocean would be cool but not necessary.
So far I think Andalucia is my top choice. From what I've researched Malaga seems pretty aligned with what I'd ideally want, but I understand it's a placement not a choice. Given it is so big, is it a risk to choose this region if I really want a city? Valencia seemed nice until the payment issue came up a lot on here and Madrid is lovely but I have already been there. I understand (from what I've read on here) you can't just choose 3 popular regions in your ranking, so I was wondering what lesser-discussed regions may be a good fit for me?
My questions: what places made travel easy/hard for you? If you ended up in a major city, what region did you choose? If you ended up in the middle of nowhere, what region did you choose? If you didn't like your initial region placement, were you able to change it (they presented at my university and said you can but I kind of doubt that)?
In short: I want to be somewhere with lots to do (in or easy access to city) and easy travel (train/plane). Like the idea of Andalucia (or Madrid as second choice) but need more region options.

2025.01.22 04:36 boyfriendremy Suggestions for what song to make a fanmade music video for my high school senior communications technology final?
Some background context: I've been wanting to make a fanmade NSP music video for awhile now, and my friends who all had communications technology this semester were showing me their final projects. The teacher made the final project to be a filmed video about whatever the heck they wanted (the maximum run time was set to 8 minutes, although there we some projects that went to almost 15 because the teacher is super chill and lets us get really creative with what we do). The new semester is about to start and I will be taking the same course, and the teacher never changes any of the projects in the new semester so I'm guaranteed to get this same final project.
Naturally, the neurodivergent special interest cogs in my brain started turning immediately and I have been throwing around a bunch of ideas in my head. My first thought was to do The Mystic Crystal since it's my favourite song and wouldn't be hard to make a music video for, but I feel like there's a good handful of lyrics that I wouldn't be able to change in a way that still made sense in the context ("with shining codpiece armour that doth cradle our shivalrous balls" and Ninja Brian getting erectile dysfunction, for example). Then I thought to do Dragon Slayer, but the same problem especially applied here because the song is about Danny trying to win a girl over so he can have sex with her.
I'm stuck right now as to what song I should do, so I wanted to see what other NSP fans would think to do here (all my friends and family are well aware I listen to the band because of how many times I've infodumped about it, but none are interested enough to want to actively listen to them aswell).
Another thing to note is that I won't actually be starting this project in class until roughly mid-May, so I have a bunch of time to plan and run my ideas by the teacher beforehand.

I typically play as a vanguard but I’ve only played ME1 insanity as an infiltrator (all those damn skill checks on crates) which kinda feels like casual mode for most the game because u burn through geth.
In ME2 i think it’s horizon, mostly because of the difficulty vs skill rating for shep at the time.
In ME3 i could see an argument for a few and I’ve been going back and forth between Krogan Team or honestly Grissom (fck them kids 😭). But maybe I haven’t played priority: earth in too long to remember about defending those damn missiles, but usually shep is pretty op by then.

Hello all, My partner and I are visiting Edinburgh in a couple of months, and are planning to take the train to London for the second stint of our vacation. I see Lumo has a maximum size suitcase allowance of 63 x 41 x 27cm, but my larger suitcase is roughly 69 x 45 x 28cm; is Lumo very strict with their size requirements? Looks like LNER allows for larger pieces of luggage, so should I go through them instead and avoid any hassles with the attendants?
