2025.01.22 06:41 fromthe_earth8 Navigating kids birthday parties now that I am a parent.
My boy is turning 1 in a few months. My husband and I plan to start small and slow with parties for him. We don't feel it is necessary at this young age to celebrate outside of the family. My social circle has expanded greatly since having a baby but the idea of all these birthday parties coming up doesn't excite me. I understand that this may be a unique opinion but I don't want to spend every weekend at a baby's party.
I am happy to celebrate my adult friends' birthdays and once my boy is old enough to enjoy a party himself I see myself being selective about what parties we to go to but I don't want to start going to my friends kids parties just because I am friends with their mum. For those of you that are of similar thought. How did you navigate this? Did you find your adult friends were offended if you didn't come to their child's party? Did it create division in your friendship? How did you answer invitations when gracefully declining.

Anyone else use this camera for filming weddings? What are your thoughts? planning to get this camera for video work. I was looking at the R5C but I don’t need 8k and I figured this is a good option because of the price and it has IBIS. I presently video on the old 5d mark iii and 6d mark i.

How can I use my Xreal Air 2 glasses with Samsung Dex with Mouse and Keyboard? I have a usb c hub that lets me use my S24 ultra with mouse and keyboard. It also has a HDMI port that I can use with the xreal HDMI adapter only, but whenever I connect it with my phone the M&K stop working. I'm not a tech guy and I can't figure out how to make it work. Is there a way I can make this workwith a different hub and without the xreal HDMI adapter? if not how can I use my glasses with m&k on samsung dex?

Before anything: I never diffuse oils now that I have a cat but sometimes I use it while I clean my counters for the scent and to repel bugs because I have paranoia. Somehow the risk of her jumping on the counter didn’t cross my mind and I feel so stupid and I will not be doing it ever again. I know it was so stupid I would never want to do anything to harm her she’s my first cat and I adore her like my child and I feel horrible. I had no idea orange/citrus was one of the worst of all until after
My cat stepped in a drop of orange essential oil when I was cleaning my counter and I’m freaking out. I didn’t realize she stepped in it until she started shaking her paw around. As soon as I noticed we went through multiple washes to get the orange scent off because it was really sticking. In between washes when I was giving her a break and sniffing her paw to see if it was clean she got quite a few licks in and it was hard to stop her and I don’t know if she licked it before I noticed. It seems to be all washed off now and she drank some water and I’m just scared and I don’t know what level of dangerous the amount on her paw was. Is there anything I can give her to neutralize any ingested oil? For humans usually milk is recommended but I know cats can’t have lactose so I’m wondering if there’s a cat safe version of that. I’m keeping an eye on her and I’ll call animal poison line if I notice anything and I hope they’re open because it’s almost 2 am. And how long til she’s in the clear if symptoms do or don’t show up? I’m scared to sleep and miss anything. Sorry for the ramble I’m so tired and I think that’s why she slipped past me to the counter because I wasn’t fully aware of my surroundings. I just hope she’s going to be okay she’s my pride and joy and can’t live without her

Okay so weird problem, sometimes my gpu works on start up and other times it doesn’t. HDMI is plugged into gpu, nothing is plugged into the motherboard. I have to plug the hdmi into the motherboard for the integrated graphics to get a display, click restart pc, plug the hdmi into the graphics card for it to turn on. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. I’ve uninstalled all drivers, exchanged graphics card and the problem still happens. I have a rtx 4060 and b650 motherboard with a 700w power supply. I’m not sure if power is the issue or not.
