2025.01.22 04:33 Dio_nysian i’m worried that i might have ocd
i know i’m a hypochondriac, so i’m not sure if i’ve got ocd or if i’m just coloring my experiences with my fear of having it
but there are some Things that i think are very ocd.
i have a fear that people i admire can see everything i do and think, so i have to act and think perfectly. i did this for years as a preteen, and it feels like it’s creeping back into my life. i replay any mistakes over and over in my head until i hate myself so severely. which i feel like i kind of deserve. (obsession? compulsion?)
i constantly read and reread any comments and posts that i make and any replies that i get. i obsessively check how many upvotes they’ve gotten and if i’ve gotten any responses. (definitely obsession, maybe compulsion. maybe reassurance seeking)
i also have a skin picking problem, which could be dermatillomania, which is an ocd related disorder, which increases the odds of having another.
i don’t know. too poor to see someone bout it, and i’m worried that I’ve got too many things going on (depression, anxiety, adhd, autism, chronic pain) and i’m sick of being scared of more things being wrong with me or like i’m tricking people into giving me diagnoses based on my fear of having them. i’m exhausted.
i feel bad for thinking i have ocd when other people clearly suffer more severely from it than i am. if i have ocd, it’s definitely a very mild case, so does it even matter to seek a diagnosis?
i’ve taken more anxiety meds lately than i have in months. which i’m told could be a side effect of my new antidepressants. so maybe that’s all it is.
sorry for the rant.

Not sure where else to post this, but I’m looking for a competitive activity to join. I’m 23 years old, just graduated college and was a track runner. I workout everyday, and would say I’m very fit. I really miss competing, and am trying to find something competitive to do. I would like something athletic based and that gets a workout in, and right now I think CrossFit is my best option. I am open to recommendations and suggestions tho. Side note, I tried Jiu Jitsu and didn’t like it, and I am definitely NOT interested in powerlifting or bodybuilding. Anything else please lmk 🙏🏼

Hi Everyone,
I was in an accident last week and insurance declared my car a total loss. My wife is the insurance policy holder. The car is in my name.
The problem is, we are currently in the early stages of a separation. No agreements, no lawyers contacted (as far as I know from her as well).
What are rights surrounding the purchase of the new vehicle? Is the payout her money as the policy holder? Or is mine as it was my car? Should I purchase a beater and just deal with it until separation is over, and then use the money left over for debt? Or use up the payout and get a better car?

I’ve just had my first dose and hardly felt anything. For maybe around 20 mins my eyelids were slightly heavy and I felt slightly tipsy. Is it unusual to not feel stronger effects? I move to the higher dose next week so we’ll see what happens with that!

First winter in an old home. In the back shed there are a dozen+ storm windows for the whole house but I cannot for the life of me figure out how they attach / stay in the windows.
Frames are wood and the storm windows are wood as well. There’s no latches, inserts, or any other protrusions/notches which might suggest a method by which they stay in place without toppling out. I figured maybe the latches were missing from age but the paint job is ~2-5 years old. Previous owners must have known something I don’t.
Do I just need to install latches on the windows or is there something I’m missing? Would like to avoid drilling holes in old frames if I’m just missing something simple.

I'm just a big nerdy guy who wants to meet a woman who is excitable about some of the things I am or even partakes in some of the same hobbies. Of course, have your own life and interests but something like tabletop rpg's is such a big social thing for me, it would be nice to share for example some of the stuff I enjoy.
Dungeons and Dragons! I love it. I enjoy other tabletop rpg systems in general but it’s a big part of my life and it would be wonderful to meet someone who is into the hobby as well. I also try other systems as well like Cyberpunk Red and Call of Cthulhu. And so many more, I also really like showing people and teaching them.
I like reading. I’ve gotten back into reading since covid. It made it hard but I’m in a book club for less serious material. It’s once a month and I always look forward to it.
I LOVE Star Wars. Unfortunately i do, I can’t help it. I’m an Episode 8 defender but sadly most of the new shows aren’t kind of average. Andor is incredible nd I will love it for ever. Love the games, the TTRPG’s and everything about it. Someday I’ll go to Star Wars celebration. Video games! Naturally I play video games. Currently playing Helldivers and Cyberpunk 2077. I enjoy Halo infinite and other co-op stuff. I’m trying to stream on twitch now even but I still feel awkward. More important stuff
Look, I am fat. Not chubby. Just fat. I’m not ashamed of it. I have no health issues but I am working on losing weight because damn, since quitting my career (yes I have quit) I realized I really wore myself out. I was mentally and physically exhausted from my career and it made me just well get up in weight. I like being with friends. I’m social but introverted. I like to call people. I like to hang out and watch movies. I like talking over a drink for hours. I have a great group of friends and we’re all a bunch of nerds. And some more stuff central to me. I’m Latino, progressive/liberal, vaccinated, and just assume i support BLM, LGBTQ+, women’s rights, and Free Palestine. I love my city. While I don’t have plans to leave anytime soon I would for the right reasons such as a new career, partner, or Nintendo calls me up and asks me to advise on the next Zelda.

- I prefer calling over texting but will text
- I enjoy music but I generally like it quiet near me if I am alone
- I am 420 friendly, I do like edibles and some other stuff but it's not really a habit I partake in regularly
- I'm mostly Child-Free, I am open to children but I am seriously considering getting snipped

- I am generally a homebody but if you are outdoorsy, like to be out, I will 90% of the time join you unless if I am feeling socialized out
