i'll start this off by saying i'm lucky to have found someone who is perfect for me (18f). i love him so incredibly much and we've talked about this topic so much that i figured it would be a good idea to just write a whole post about it.
so i have always been someone who feels very intensely about love. i've always dated to marry and to live the rest of my life with someone. i've also always been very very open about this fact. my exes have both said they "felt the same way." (but never really proved it honestly.) i'm the type of person to say my partner is my everything, i will do everything i can to work through an issue with them and resolve the conflict, not "prove my point." i hate unnecessary conflict, i hate cheaters, i can't imagine being interested in anyone else because i'm dedicated to my boyfriend, and i try to communicate everything with him. he's allowed to have my phone and if there's something i'm embarassed of him seeing (like a bad selfie or cringy conversations from when i was younger,) i either clear it up with him and laugh about it or i delete it since it's not benefiting me at all.
i've been cheated on in both of my "serious" relationships and in a short relationship in-between those. all three of those i was very serious about and i made it clear to them that i was not casually dating or dating for sex. i got lied to, used for my body, and then abandoned. so needless to say i have some trust issues.
it's disgusting to me the way so many people treat relationships. i don't judge if you're openly polyamorous or if you're open about just casually dating, but rather it's fucked up how people lie about being devoted lovers. i see so many lovebombers absolutely destroy peoples' spirits and act like it's just fun to them. stop fucking lying about being serious about relationships and then suddenly having a revelation about how you actually don't want this serious of a relationship after you get your grubby hands beneath your partner's clothes. and if you've been a shitty partner before, don't act sad when you're single and ask why you're alone! treat people like shit, don't expect them to come back. additionally, don't jump right back into a relationship and act like you're a brand new person. especially if that person is someone you cheated with on your last partner! sorry but you're still a shitty person and you spent no goddamn time working on yourself and you deserve to spend some time miserable.
basically can we just be fucking real. be truthful about your intentions. i also dgaf if you're a man sleeping around is STILL fucking gross. being a man with 50 bodies is the same level of unsanitary and unfaithful as a woman with 50 bodies.
