hello! I'm interested in joining acsi's Advanced Science Programme, and saw on the JC Prerequisites google sheet shared in the subreddit that the prereq is A1 for double math as well as 2 sciences, and you have to pass a selection test in addition to that. Thus I was wondering if anyone knows what the selection test entails and what I should study/do to prepare for it? Or even if the prereqs are still the same since the sheet hasnt been updated since 2022 haha. Any advice would be greatly appreaciated. Thank you!

I asked for some advice here a few days ago and I think I’ve boiled it down to three alternatives but would like some additional input.
My main usage will be travel photography and also taking pictures of my wild 4-year old, thus fast AF and portability is high on my wish list, I am willing to sacrifice some handling if I can get is smaller. No video requirements..
I’m thinking about a fast~(1.8-2.0) prime, ~50mm (FF eqv.), maybe a fairly fast(2.8-4.0) 24-75 (FF eqv.) and then a tele zoom for when I want to take pictures in zoos and so on. Maybe it could also be a fast prime and a “super zoom”.
I am not willing to spend like more than 1000 USD for each lens.. and would ideally like to end up at about 2000 USD in total, if possible.
My alternatives are:
Fuji XT-50 (or X-E5 if that ever comes out)
- Looks nice, good SOOC pictures
- My XT-30 had pretty sloppy AF and looking back at my pictures, I feel I missed the focus quite often. This doesn’t seem to have improved that much
Sony A6700 (or one step below)
- Fast AF, good selection of lenses, especially third party
- Not the most beautiful, more like a tool rather than a camera. Maybe too expensive. Might require post processing
- Looks nice, small
- Maybe not the fastest AF?
Questions:
Did I miss and pros/cons?
Will there be any image quality differences (not the biggest pixel peeper)?
Any other options I’ve missed? Nikon Zf? Panasonic?

Wishing you all a great day, Iam was going to switch into linux (because windows sucks especially these days) but i wanted the full gaming experience which i found many people addressing many issues but i want to try it my self
When i searched i found a distros called Nobara (fedora based i guess?), CachyOS (for arch) but some say the performance improvements isn't that high, is that true?
But i decided to go with arch distros, so if i want the full arch experience and decided to switch to vanilla arch how can i optimize the kernel for gaming?
And as i said iam new to linux so i don't know much about those terms so providing resources / wikis / tutorials is greatly appreciated
I heard i need to specify my resources when asking questions and keep it short soooooooo
My laptop:
- Asus TUF f15
- processor: intel i5 12500h
- Ram: 32gb 3200 ddr4
- GPU: RTX 3050 4gb
- Currently using windows 11

How long before it gets easier? I’m quite fit, but not Barre fit. I’m having a heck of a time balancing on toes for any length of time (without holding onto bar) and it’s super frustrating.
I’m only into my second month and I still can’t do pulses on balls of feet workout nearly falling forward or bringing heels back down .
Any tips to make this easier or is it just”give it time”? My balance in shoes is pretty good but in socks, it sucks.

2025.01.22 07:58 Cg6554 What went wrong? And why did this rgh1.2 fail and what can I do to avoid it? Getting 0022 after rgh attempt.
 | Some more info: I used an ace v3 instead of cool runner as they are unavailable everywhere. I used a 22k ohm on pll I have removed the modchip, flasher, and restored to retail and am now greeted with a rrod 0022. I have checked everywhere on the board and can’t find a short or anything out of the ordinary. What could have caused this, can it be avoided, how do I fix it? I (23f) was dating a guy (21m) for a few months. We had sex early into our relationship and there seemed to be chemistry in the bedroom. Shortly after we had sex and made things official things became stale. I feel sex is an important way to connect with your partner, and after a few weeks of no touching or physical intimacy I started to become concerned.
I feel like there’s an unspoken assumption that men want sex more than women. I recognize that’s not the case for everyone and I tried to have an open discussion to see if maybe we had different expectations for how often sex would happen throughout the week. I had never experienced this before and it was starting to affect my confidence. Especially since I feel like couples normally can’t help themselves but want to be physical all the time in the beginning stages of a relationship.
I want to preface this and add that on our first date he confessed that he had been groomed at a young age. When he was sixteen, he was having sex with his exes mom who was in her mid 30’s. She bought him things and pressured him to run away with her. He eventually cut things off and even went to court over it after he had told a classmate what happened. I could tell he felt guilty and had a lot of unresolved feelings towards the experience, so I was very apprehensive to approach the topic. However, when I had brought up the intimacy issues, he brought up this past experience.
He mentioned that he had a really unhealthy obsession with sex after this experience to the point that one of his past relationships even compared him to a sex addict. I couldn’t even picture him in this light because he seemed to be so standoffish with me. The most physical affection we shared was cuddling and it never escalated. He reassured me that he was trying to be different with me. He said sex overshadowed his previous relationships and he didn’t have a true emotional connection with them because it was all physical. I asked if he would be open to therapy and he immediately turned it down. He believed talking about his feelings made him weak and I got the notion that he thought I was insane to even offer this as a solution. He said talking to me was enough.
Somehow this conversation held me over for a few weeks, but as I stressed earlier, physical intimacy is super important to me. The more I approached the topic, the more standoffish he became. I felt like I was fighting a losing battle. Throughout the few months we had dated, we were only intimate three times. I’m not trying to sound arrogant, but I’m not unattractive and I have great hygiene. I was genuinely starting to wonder if he was into women or question if there was something wrong with me. I spent countless nights searching the internet for women who had experienced similar issues as mine. I stumbled across many theories or explanations, I even considered the madonna-whore complex theory. Inevitably, I recognized it was early days and we just weren’t compatible. I’m curious to hear of other similar experiences or a different perspective on this topic.
