2025.01.22 10:43 RootsRockRitual Hounded for a debt, but company admitted that they had my contact details on someone else's debt. What to do next ? Wales.
Interesting one. I have been hounded for a debt of £700 by Bristow Sutor. They have texted and emailed. I contacted them via form and which were ignored, and by phone never got through to anyone that could help - had to leave voicemails etc.
Finally got an email yesterday with a real human being's phone number, which I called.
This person revealed that the debt was actually related to another person, in Sussex, for a parking charge for a vehicle we do not own.
They said that they got our contact details from "a search company".
I am worried about this, and quite annoyed. This has been stressing me out for two months now. And is there a likelihood that there is any stolen identity? Or is it just a mistake by the search company.
Bristow Sutor will not reveal the name of that company for me to complain.
What should I do to: - be confident that there is no identity theft - raise awareness so that other people cannot suffer the same stress?

About 40% of this will be in emerging industries such as green hydrogen, chipmaking, data centres and electric vehicles."
As India's growth has slowed down, with projected growth of about 6.5% in GDP in 2025, the government might be tempted to splurge on spending. But they should incentivize the private sector to ramp up capital expenditure. If the government is going to implement industrial policy, it should help agricultural export, and labor intensive manufacturing to help the poor and unemployed; and help technology sectors to increase wages and employment for the more skilled low to middle class workers, and wealth creation for investors.

2025.01.22 10:43 perchanceneveralways I have a lot of things to share but no else to share it with
4 years in and I'm realizing how important it is to have your personal community. I started recruiting as a side hustle and went, 'oh shoot, where do I even find you all'.
Not only that, if I lose my main client tomorrow, I will essentially be starting from scratch — forced to buy connects or wade through low-balled offers (despite my extensive experience).
Which honestly sucks just as much as it is seeing your friend group decimated because you work remotely + graveyard shifts. At least if you have close freelancer friends, you'd have access to people who could (probably) refer you should they have vacancies or at least introduce you to people who do.
Anyway, all I'm saying is that I have a lot of things to share but no one else to share it with. If you're an aspiring freelancer but don't want spend money on courses, shoot me a DM and let's teach each other!

Do you guys think Madoc would truly be a bad ruler? I think in the first book Jude thought Madoc would cause perpetually war if he was in charge because it is in his nature, but Madoc seems to like the type to kill only to achieve what he wants and feels. If being king is his ultimate goal then he has no reason to cause war. Yes he would probably kill his opposers but that’s not different than what Jude did in Queen of Nothing. It could be possible that he might become ambitious and try to take over other powers like the undersea. At the same time he might not do that and could end up being a good king because he understands fae and human needs. I think either situation could happen. What do you guys think?
