But I want to put forward my point and I humbly request everyone of your to read this
LIC is not for investment , it's for SAVINGS ,savings for something is gonna happen in everyone's life 1. Death 2. Child education 3. Retirement
To give you more clarity , let's talk about DEATH , for protection of financial future of family in case of death of bread earner in family there is TERM INSURANCE , so when one buy term insurance they dint think about returns because it's for protection which is savings
CHILD EDUCATION: For this we have 2 options , pay from our own money , or pay from someone else money which is loan When my child is 1 -18 yrs old the expenses are less i can manage to save 5 k a month , but when my child's age is 18-24 the expenses increase, and if I take loan i would have to pay 7-8k for same amount
We need to plan for our child's higher education because that's when the fees sky rockets
If my child is in 12th he will definitely persu under graduation next year , so as a parent I neend to have whatever amount it's neend for his education
We can plan child education through MF,SIP, Etc... but what if when I neend money the market goes down ??
If the child fails it's okay , but parents cannot fail(to pay fees ) they cannot say take drop and persu under graduation next year
Let's assume we want 10 lakhs every year for fees , so plan 70% fixed and 30% , which means invest in something that gives you garrunteed return when you need It and rest 30% take risk in MF,SIP , etc because we can manage 30% which is 3 lakhs , but it would be very hard to manage 10 lakhs all at once
And in LIC we get PWB benefit as well
RETIREMENT: Everyone here is gonna retire , in retirement we have 3 options
Work by ourselves Ask for money Let our money work
Nobody Wants to work after retirement , and for someone who has worked 20-25 years it's very difficult to ask money from you childerns as it gets against our self esteem and at that time our childerns also have their own family so they neend tk take care of them first Only the 3rd option remains, which is to make our money work , which means save money now so we can enjoy pension benefits , or at the time of retirement invest lump sum
LIC offers pension to the person for life time and if something happens to him 100% pension of offer to his wife lifetime and after the 2nd persons death , the whole lump sum amount is given to nominee tax free
So my point is if we invest for these 3 things it's not investment it becomes saving, and LIC being goverment backed company,it's best to save with them in form of polices
Ofc the returns are very less but as I said this is not investment it's savings
So it doesn't matter which policy you take , the thing that matter is why you take policy

Is each Civ assigned a permanent color or is it random per game? This game I was light brown. It got very confusing because Egypt is a darker yellow and we shared the continent. Someone else was also a shade of tan, can’t remember who it was.
It got a little confusing (I don’t have really great vision). It seems like Byzantine is always red? Maybe coincidence? Aztecs green? I haven’t played a lot of games this go around so I don’t remember.
I’d love to be red, that deep blue or purple. Those colors stand out for me. I don’t suppose it’s a choice what color you want to pick. Maybe in the editor?

My boyfriend and I had a fight yesterday. (I don't know if you can really call it an argument because we didn't really argue)
Basically, he did something that hurt me and I pointed it out to him over text (we couldn't call at the beginning of the day because we were both very busy). He immediately apologized and we texted a bit about it. When we both had time, we called and talked about it again. He apologized again and I had a small emotional breakdown. In the end we sorted it all out and I'm not mad at him or anything else. And I'm really grateful to him that he just apologized and that we were able to sort it out so well. I was used to not talking about problems in my last relationship because in the end it was usually turned around so that I was the one who had to apologize.
But even though I'm not mad at him, I was still hurt. I feel emotionally exhausted. I think the best way to describe my feelings is as if you have an injury. Someone has taken good care of the injury, cleaned it, bandaged it, everything. But even after that, the injury is still there and needs some time to heal.
And I think what also makes me feel very exhausted right now is that after all this I would just like to be with my partner, but of course that's not so easy because we're long distance.
How are you guys dealing with stuff like this?

27F, 5’1, 150lbs, history of neuro-immune disease but specialist discontinued treatment. No currently prescribed medications. All covid and flu tests come back negative.
I work a customer facing job that has had me down with respiratory issues much too often lately. Currently I have an itchy throat, congestion, muscle aches, and fatigue. I’ve had to call out of work more than once. I’ve been seen by urgent care as my PCP is a bit of a drive away.
I’ve been taking nyquil/dayquil, drinking hot tea, and sleeping but I still feel miserable.
Is there a new virus going around? The PA at urgent care says my tests all come back negative and I should just treat my symptoms but that I’m good to work.
How do I stop feeling miserable?

It genuinely pissed me off how soft rec room has become, I’ve been playing this game for over 7 years and before this week I was only voice banned about 2 times in my whole rec room career but now just this week I’ve been banned just about 4 times, it’s almost every day. I don’t say racist or sexist slurs, I don’t bully people, I don’t make fun of people, the only thing I do that would be remotely “racist“ is talk in an Indian accent and I’ll get voice banned. I’ll get voice banned for getting voice banned. The devs of Rec Room really needs to fix this moderation, it’s a public chatting game and there should NOT be this much moderation.
