 | Hi all, over a year with my rav4 and absolutely loving it. My only complaint is the tyre noise and harsh ride (probably because I have the bigger 18" rims) - tyres are 225/60 R18 alenza H/L33. Went on a roadtrip earlier this year and really felt the harsh ride, especially out of the major cities and onto less maintained roads. Every pothole felt like i was breaking my wheels. Does anyone have any recommendations for tyres or should I potentially lower my rims size? Although not sure how that'll work with the speedometer. Not looking to go actual offroading but will occasionally drive on unpaved roads to explore different areas in australia. I love roadtrips so I feel like bigger or better tyres will significantly improve my experience, don't mind paying a premium price. It's pretty simple to see how much memory is needed for a model (what's the size of the files), but the context is sometimes a surprise, given the various techniques used to reduce it. The context size requirements vary wildly from model to model, sometimes unexpectedly large for small models!
The typical size is kv =u * t * 4 * h * dh for 16-bit, where u is the number of users (1 for local), h is the number of heads and dh dimension per head for t tokens. For simple MHA models that equates to t*4*dm where dm is the dimension of the whole model.
With the size of the model zoo ever expanding, does anyone have a link to a table with all the modern models for this? What's the KV of each of the base models, per token? I'm assuming you're using an 8-bit cache, which seems to be a good compromise of size versus quality.
For providers, the KVmax also kind of shows the minimum number of GPUs you need for optimal price/performance, given their VRAM and compute/VRAM ratio with a model's intensity (typically 1.5 for SILU 16-bit). For example, for Llama-405B, optimal is (405 * 2 + 32 * 220) / 80 for H100. This is: model size plus 220 (optimal compute ratio) caches to serve 220 users using 98 GPUs => optimal price/performance is reached with groups of 16 nodes.
I'm unsure for the non-llama model numbers as these use special techniques sometimes. My first guess is below, but I'd like to know and update the table with the real values, because this is wrong!
???: I managed to get 90K context to fit on my 24GB card without using any options for context bitness, so this can't be right if that means it defaults to 16-bit.
Note: KVmax should be rounded up and at least 2 digits precision.

The advantages are
Very close to work (5-7 mins) vs right now (50 mins) - very tempting reason
Great schools (we have 2 toddlers going into public school next year)
New construction
ADU in first floor (renting or for when parents visit)
Sq foot same as our current condo (2000 sq ft)
Proximity to most of the south Asian/ Indian stores
Within budget - for 1.5 million we are not finding a SFH this close to work
Disadvantages:
No patio/backyard space
Too close to road (noise/pollution ?)
We already live in a 3 level condo, so this would be a 2nd condo purchase (is owning 2 condos really worth it ?)
Moving away from Current condo which is much closer to hills and greenery
I am so confused about this. Since it's very close to work and schools are good it's very compelling.
Please provide your suggestions/inputs. TIA.

I live in a flat block and I occasionally have an issue with drivers being unable to figure out how to enter the building and others who demand I come downstairs to meet them where they parked. There are several small stairwells where you can enter with the classic buzzer door where you ring the flat number and they let you in. Ours doesn't work for whatever reason so the doors to the stairwell are permanently unlocked.
From time to time it takes the driver a moment to push the unlocked door but last night's order was truly bizarre.
The guy buzzed the door multiple times, I picked up the phone to stop the ringing each time. He then called me on my mobile three times and hung up as soon as I answered.
I heard nothing for a few minutes assuming he'd figured it out, checked the app and found that he had gone halfway down the road. So I messaged him the instructions on the app that he had to just push the door and got no answer. I then called him multiple times and he'd do the same thing and hang up.
Not sure what changed but at some point he phoned me back and told me to come downstairs because he can't get in. I explained to him several times on the phone that the stairwell door is open and he just has to push it. He told me "ok I'm coming to you".
He walked to my GPS location two floors below me, I was on the balcony and he started shouting he has no way to get to me "up there". He was about to knock on the downstairs neighbours door before I stopped him. I pointed him towards the stairwell a few feet away from him and he just kept repeating the question. I got a bit sick of it so went inside and miraculously he made it upstairs, still complaining.
Was he trying to make it look like I didn't answer? I can't explain the weird phonecalls and hangups and then driving off otherwise. Is he just dumb?

I’m Hindu (24, F) and my boyfriend of 4 years is 26. I am pretty religious and my boyfriend although he comes from a very strict and religious Muslim family, he considers himself atheist/agnostic. Since he was a teen he’s never associated with being Muslim and pretty much has left the religion. He respects me and my beliefs and is open to the idea that there is a God but religion is not right. His family know and are super against our relationship but he has fought constantly against them. I only told my Mum (who I’m super close to) a few days ago as I feared her reaction. She was surprisingly calm but told me I 100% have to end this relationship before it goes on longer. Her main concern is that at some point regardless of what he says, he will become religious and life will change once we get married and kids come around. I have always wanted my kids to be raised Hindu, and he has accepted this. However, I’m worried that although he may be ok with this now, in the future the compatibility will fade. I fear culture and religion will play more of a role and I will sacrifice a lot. I also fear going against our families will only breed resentment as life goes on. I don’t know what to do - he’s an amazing guy who I have a great life with, but I don’t want to set myself up for divorce or conflict in the future. Would love some advice please.

So I have a Spanish Revolut account with a Spanish mobile number, everything is normal. But now I am in France and I also have a French mobile number (dual SIM phone - Spanish and French numbers) and I receive SMS (notifying me of transactions) on the French number. Even though I never linked the Revolut account to the new French number.
I always refuse cookies, reject all tracking and deny locations.
So how come? What is happening?
