I am new to this sub and inspired by all the posts here, and have decided to start my self hosting journey 😄 I found an old server in my dad's stuff : E5-2620 cpu, 12 Gig of Ram and 1T of HDD. I was thinking about running a single Ubuntu server and start using docker, but my gaming experience tells me: install your OS Only on SSD. Is this true for servers too? How much benefit does it have ? I am also open to any suggestions regarding my first steps. My first usecase would be to setup a file sharing system, but will add more things in future.

Hi! I just went for my first blood donation today, but due to some issues I felt unwell half way through and had to stop. The bag was filled up about a third of the way through already, and I feel bad about wasting the nurse’s time, so I’m just wondering/hoping if they’re able to do anything with the blood I gave? Or would it be too little to do anything? I’ll be trying again in a few weeks as the nurse said I could, but I was just hoping some of the blood I gave today could be of use. Thank you!

I got sick the beginning of the year and although I took less than 3 days off I still brought a note. The doctor said it’s common symptoms, but was amazed at how swollen my tonsils were they didn’t bother me much so nothing was done, just wrote a note and I rested up. Well I’ve been feeling better. And about a week ago I noticed my right tonsil was pretty swollen to a point of noticeable difference in my neck appearance. I’m having a hard time swallowing/drinking just starting today. I’m thinking of going to Urgent care on the morning. If I brought another note for a day or two could I get written up? Anything supervisors can do punishment wise? It’s unpaid sick leave as I’m a CCA about year and a half in.

Our kids finished the panning for lego gold, took the medals as reward and we called it a day. But ever since our smallest child have fond memories of this pink sloth and it was 2nd christmas in a row where her main wish in Santas letter is to get this particular pink sloth plushie.

I contacted Legoland Germany via email, but all they replied that they are closed for winter and do not offer any shipping. Also they did not disclose any information if it is even possible to purchase that particular plushie. I was unable to find this plushie to purchase on lego/legoland websites, ebay, amazon, aliexpresses, etc.. If there is anyone who could help me obtain this particular item i would really appreaciate it. It does not matter if it is new or used as long as it is a decent state. I would gladly cover all expenses related to obtaining this plushie. Please let me know you you have any information on this. Best regards from Lithuania
