I'm designing a new helical rail lift (ie one up rail and one down rail in a double helix) and realised I don't know - at what slope will the train gain altitude the fastest?
I guess this depends a bit on how fast the train is going when it enters the helix and so forth, but ignoring that, in the steady state, where is the optimal trade-off between a shallow slope that lets the train move faster but where you have to travel a long distance to gain much height and a steep slope that slows the train down a lot but gains a lot of height in a short distance?

This is a very specific dilemma and I’m not sure if I am just an oversensitive, nitpicking a hole in this situation - but please tell me if I am.
So I am currently living with five other people. As a group, we all get along well asides from the typical roommate issues - being messy, etc.
I am currently sharing a room with one girl in particular. On paper, she is super sweet and kind. But for some reason, and I know this is an awful thing to say because I don’t think she deserves this, but I just have found that she’s really irritating me?
I know I sound crazy but I just can’t explain what it is that’s annoying me about her. It’s specifically her as well because I don’t have this issue with anybody else I’m living with. I just find that her personality often just rubs me the wrong way and I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is about it. If I had to be somewhat specific, she coughs all over our room and I have now picked up illness as a result of this. I also don’t think she can really appreciate when I just want some time and space to myself after a long day. I’ve also found that she brings most conversations back to herself, which can get quite exhausting. I know that this is a mean thing to point out, but she just starts talking about the most random things about herself or her life for very long periods of time, when it would be nice if we could have a two-way conversation. I also feel that I know literally everything about her and her life but she knows next to nothing about me - and I’ve realised recently this might because she’s never asked.
It genuinely makes me sad that I’m saying this because I really wanted a long term, ride or die best friend from this living situation and I had really hoped it would be her. I know these are silly and insignificant reasons to be put off someone, but I’m just finding increasingly that she’s really getting on my nerves.
I’d love if someone could tell me if I am just being rude or if there’s any way I could navigate this situation in a more mature way. Thank you xx

In anime we've seen 3 classes of Lycoris wearing uniforms coloured beige, blue or red, depending on rank and seniority. We can think of them as standard field agents.
In "Toward Dawn" fanfic in chapter 45 there's a brief appearence of Lycoris girls wearing green uniform. Their task seems to be to guard people arrested by DA.
This got me thinking: what other specializations/types of Lycoris agents could be out there beside the 3 we've seen in the anime?
This is kind of a headcanon/fanfiction post, but if you have any ideas, please write in the comments what other types of Lycoris could there be?
However right from the start I'd also like to point out 2 problems there might be with inventing Lycoris types/specializations:
- DA might use male agents/employees for certain tasks
- Standard Lycoris seem to already have skills to perform certain tasks which could be responsibility of specialized agents: medical aid and bomb defusal for example.

Trying to keep an open mind. Look I’m not a follower of Reaganomics or the sort. I do believe tax cuts over the years have only served to further the wealthy. With that said, it does get me to question if one could really include it under spending and debt? It’s coming out of incomes.. it’s what society pays… it’s funding that government has yet to use. Curious to get other perspectives… keen to avoid being partisan just want to focus on what the logic…

Explain a time you did something that was hilarious to you and not patriotic towards your team (but also kinda justified)
* mine have all been when playing with friends and not with any randoms (or when randoms where not in harms way).
My favourite memory is a mate of mine caused me to die (fired at bugs with a GL near me when I had it under control) and then told me to get good at the game... he went into a large bug nest crater (the one with like 10 or 12 bug holes)... I dropped an orbital napalm on his ass and denied all knowledge.
he then got reinforced by someone on the other side of the map.
his rage really filled my meter.
