2025.01.22 11:38 MCbasics Advice For Smaller vehicles.
So I've been making a bunch of random hovercraft lately and I want to make a troop lander. I've been trying to make a small APC thing to put inside it but I'm not very good at making effective compact weapons.im also trying to make a fighter aircraft but im having a lot of trouble for similar reasons + having trouble with the looks.
I can make all the other systems compact enough but weapons i have trouble with the weapons. The only things I can really put on my gunships are missiles and simple weapons because of that. I do have some trouble with generating enough power to keep it up in the air but I'm starting to figure that out.
Does anyone have any advice for me?

Bit of backstory: I have an elder sister, excellent student (+3years, IIT, IIM grad) and now works in a high paying corporate job. I am completely opposite (btech tier 3, with 2year gaps between education, below everywhere: acads, sports, other activities).
As fingers of a human being aren't the same size. I am different to my sibling.
Everything was planned and controlled by my parents. They always believed if you don't monitor your kids like an 24x7 drone they will slip out of your hands.
Activities in school such as vedic maths, abacus, public speaking, olympiads etc were opted for us by my parents. While she had an actual interest in studies and participating in such activities. I hated these activities. I prefered music or sports but my Indian parents never allowed me to do such things.
I had to sign many diary notes from my parents for my underwhelming efforts. And often time I listen to my mother screaming at me saying "we are giving so much money to these activities why can't you perform like your sister?" "Why are you wasting money" "You will be always weak". Resulting in low confidence and I never became good at any of it. I still struggle in math and public speaking. Remembering about my school days still gives me trauma.
I always asked them to allow me to go to the gym or sports academy but they never allowed me. Never allowed to talk to girls or make friends. Resulting in my short stature, obesity, face full of acne and no friends. Difficulty in talking to girls when someone approaches.
They would always make fun of my weight but when I ask them for gym they say no and rather walk with them. Walking with them for fitness will give me more mental pressure and stress. I will be compared to other kids have done or is doing and everyday lectures. Talking to uncles on the park about me being unemployed is not only embarrassing for me but also to my parents and they will lecture about it at home.
I still remember after doing 10th I did not want to take science but my parents made me take science and math( Despite them knowing how I suck at these subjects). By manipulative talking and indirect stuff that parents do to influence your decision. After completing 12th. I had zero capability and interest to do engineering but my parents heavily influenced me to do engineering in IT. There I hated programming because it never made sense to me, while others understood everything. I was the only one who couldn't understand concepts at all.
Somehow I managed to passed them all with passing marks often times with the help of grace marks.
Now, with every new day they come with new exams. They are forcing me to prepare for GATE, CAT, XYZ. But honestly I am exhausted and burned out. I don't even understand the concepts anymore.
Also I don't want to spend my time to study the entire engineering again which was HELL for GATE and I hate MBA because there will be a lot more pressure, daily presentations, and other overwhelming course material complete all of it and then work on PPT and EXCEL. MBA degree to me is the most useless.
I feel like my brain is stuck. Moreover these exams take a lot of time for practice and only the top students get through.
My parents have gave me an ultimatum to get a government job by the end of the year anyhow. Despite them knowing how bad I am in studies. I can't even do basic stuff well. This Is very frustrating to see and has been a headache since the past year.
I need someone to kidnap me and put me under some grave. I am clueless.

For context, I (M23) graduated with bachelor's degree in Multimedia arts (with latin honor) last 2023, and started working for a premium baby brand as a marketing manager / graphic designer right after I graduated. I am also living on my own since 2022 (family migrated overseas, was left with just me and my dog). I also had a background with video editing for a famous TV show, part time. Fast forward November of 2023, I got laid off my job (with the baby brand company) because of arguments with my boss (the owner) concerning my workload (I got overworked and was behind tasks).
Then my long time friend's (F24) fiancée (my boss now, M30) offered me a job for his construction and a lighting company as a "Social Media Manager". Basically, I was supposed to be in charge of managing the page and answering queries.
Initial offer: 17 USD / Day + 2% commission everytime I get to close contracts. 1. Manage the page for queries. 2. Create Social Media marketing campaigns + posts. 3. Arrange meetings for clients and store owner.
First few weeks was okay. He also offered to provide me an apartment for me and my dog as I needed to move out from my aunt's place (free from rent, electric and water bill). Him being my friend's fiancee, we would always hang out after work and they would always take me to places for dinner / out for clubs. This went on for months.
After a few months in, he would give me tasks that went beyond my "role". First, I arranged a client meeting for him and he told me to attend on his behalf. Then this continued for a few more clients. I was also keeping in touch with the clients' requests (of which I had little knowledge of as I graduated with Multimedia background and not architecture or engineering). Then all of a sudden, I didn't even notice that I was the one handling everything already (basically, I was made as the project manager for every project that I closed). This now went on for months, until I am now 1 year and 2 months in the company.
Now, I handle everything, and all he does is "confirm" and release budgets for the project. In addition, my salary release gets delayed sometimes, a few times already. As I live right next to our office, whenever our workers need something, I have to assist them regardless if it's past 5:00 PM. There are instances that I get woken up from sleep even after 11:00 PM. There are also clients with delayed projects that are blaming me (as I am the one talking to them, and being a representative of the company for my boss). One time, I also got kicked out of the project site by a client (project was delayed and boss spent the project budget for a separate project), was told by a client that "You are an a**hole, you are not doing your jobs properly". Meanwhile, I am overworked and underpaid.
At times, I was handling 5 projects simultaneously.
Then 2025 came. My boss created another business of which I had no experience with. He told me that he has to cut off my salary by half (8.5 USD / day). For him, once I close a project under his new business, a 10% commission will be my new salary, and that's a steal already. On top of that, I still have to work with his construction company with tasks that are supposed to be a 5-man job, while I also work with the newly built business.
Now, I still have no savings, still struggling from pay check to pay check. The only thing that makes me want to stay here is the fact that me and my dog will be homeless if I quit my job here. I know I have so much to offer with other jobs, but idk where to begin. I feel like I'm literally trapped here, a literal prisoner. This is a cry for help haha. I'm really lost and any advice is appreciated.

I had a successful self-employed career until the covid lockdowns forced me out of my home and job in 2020, and I've been struggling a lot ever since then, including living in a tent for months. Despite hating to deal with the system I tried the council a couple of times but they wouldnt help. I eventually (and am currently) claiming universal credit, and all but gave up on pursuing my career again due to stress and the lack of housing.
I am of the understanding that I can't claim housing benefit until I have a legitimate address, but I can't get a place without financial support - it seems like a catch-22. I am not good with admin, although I have tried my best to get things sorted.
My query for advice is, how do I go about doing this? Could someone please explain to me how to get into a room and claim housing benefit in this insane housing and financial crisis, and get back on my feet
