I work as admin for the NHS, and one of the most common questions we're getting is when children will be seen for an ADHD assessment - these are initial assessments, transfers of care from private assessments for medication, and NHS transfers from out of area.
All of these appointments are put onto the same wait list, for which we're being told to say that 'we can't give time frames for assessment', even though we haven't triaged anyone to even have an appointment in over a year. We haven't even had any ADHD assessments done in over a year, and we've been told the wait is realistically over 50 years - for a child's assessment. They're not happening and I can't keep lying about it when people call to ask. It's been raised with leads who say they "sympathise" but they don't offer any solutions or guidance and we're left to keep telling this same lie - knowing the effects it's having on families. We've been told as well to say that our waits for ASD assessments are less than a year on average - but this isn't including up to an additional year wait to be allocated an appointment. I've asked if we can let patients and families know of this information at any other point instead of when they call up to chase and admin reveal this hidden waits but it's being met with nothing.
We used to be allowed to give a statement directing people to right to choose so they can actually be seen but we're not allowed to even do that any more. All we're allowed to say are these lies that amount to nothing.
I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi, David here!
Many guys wrongly believe that attraction works like a video game, and that the time they spend investing in another person is the equivalent of building up experience points. They believe that these accumulated points will later make it more likely that the other person will say "yes" when they finally make a direct move.
But this is not how attraction works. You cannot barter for attention, affection, love or approval.
In most situations, time is not on your side. The longer you wait to make your honest intentions known, the less likely the other person will find you attractive. A woman can tell when a guy likes her, and if you spend weeks pretending that you are just only being "nice" and just want to be friends, she may lose respect for you as a man. (Side note: In an initial interaction it can be beneficial to take it a bit slow and leave space for comfort and attraction to develop. This post is aimed at the guys who spend months trying to win a person over.)
Being hesitant can communicate that a person lacks self confidence. If you don’t believe that you are good enough, then why should the other person think anything different? Doubting yourself is the quickest way to instill doubt in another person.
This form of unattractive hesitance should not to be confused with traits such as being calm, composed, cautious and not over eager or reckless. You can be both forward and direct as well as polite, patient and respectful of another person.
Everything you propose should be interpreted as an offer with no strings attached. That is, you don’t need a specific result or outcome in response to what you propose. If the person is down then cool, if not no problem. This creates a low pressure situation where the other person will feel more comfortable saying yes.

Hi all,
Ive been working on a hotwire native app and I am in a good place to put it online now. I have a few mobile apps to juggle after I get the rails app online and just do not have the bandwidth to read a whole book about Kamal right now, so I will learn that down the road.
I have tried deploying with Render and am getting "Deploy Error - Internal Server Error" with zero logs to help so I am getting a bit frustrated with them.
I think in my current situation I should go with an easy way to get my rails app online so I can focus on other parts of my project (like finishing mobile apps, DNS stuff like pointing domain to the app, etc)
Is Heroku the easiest host these days? Any recomendations?

Hi all while there may not be many forklift engineers in this sub Reddit I thought I may aswell ask even if you have heard things would love to know.
I’m currently applying for apprenticeship roles as a forklift engineer with Toyota material handling and Briggs equipment where they will put me through a 3 year college course aswell as gaining experience on site with them.
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience working with them in the past. While I am fine working in a team I do much prefer being giving a job and left to my devices to do said job, (this will be in the future of course when I am fully certified) while neither of these company’s may be able to accommodate me for this I just wanted to get a idea of what company would be better suited to work for given the opportunity.
And any other info about how the company’s work and the work loads that may be useful to know from anyone would be much appreciated.
