I love single-player RPGs, but I could use a player two. I am also a voracious reader so sometimes I read 10 books at once. I'm looking for something long-term. Right now I'm taking a break from school while I pursue my Masters in psychology and reading Lord of the Rings. I could also use Nintendo Switch friends. I usually play a human sorcerer in Dungeons & Dragons; if there's an open spot in your party I'll take it! I love Tolkien, A Song of Ice and Fire and recently started Robert Jordan's books! Arya, Sansa, Brienne, Jaime and Bran are my favorite characters. Baldur’s Gate, Mass Effect, Life Is Strange, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are some of my favorites. I collect vinyl and love my dog more than anything else.
Marathoning Doctor Who--Nine and Thirteen are my Doctors! Loving Shōgun and House of the Dragon, though I could always use more period drama recommendations! I keep Kitchen Nightmares on as background noise. I also love BBC history documentaries, watching one on Thomas Cromwell right now as I type this.
I have a special interest in shipwrecks and medieval English history. Into Marvel comics, graphic novels and whatnot.
Still love Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and bands of that ilk. Will take emo and punk friends too! I need friends in Disney Dreamlight Valley as well!

So did I read the announcement wrong because they didn't list a goal here other than "advancement of AI" which is already happening at breakneck speeds.
Like are they that determined to hit ASI as soon as possible? At least with Apollo, they had a visible target. Are we just needing to hit the singularity as fast as we can and damn the consequences? This just seems a gigantic amount of money for a vague "advance AI goal"
I try not to doom and gloom, but this, coupled with the removal of US safety measures seems like... A lot.

Hi, So I'm a beginner in using Zynq boards and only had to use them because of a project I'm taking part in. I wanna know whether it's possible to use the FMC LPC connectors as I/O pin by assigning or receiving different voltages to/on each pin of them or am I only restricted by the 30 pins at the bottom right? I'm using the ZC702 Base Board. If so, how could I assign them?

I've had my Super Smash Bros cartridge since shortly after the game released. I played it all the time and unlocked all the hidden characters. I didnt play it for a number of years and the nabout 10 years ago I started playing it again. Multiplayer works fine, but in single player no matter what character I select when the first level loads I am playing as Mario, and as you win an play more levels you still play just as Mario.
What would cause the game to make it so that I can only play single player as Mario? As I said Multiplayer works fine, you can select anyone and it plays just fine.

 | Context: finishing my last year of a semi private highschool I feel so unsupported emotionally, I love my parents and they've provided for me in every other way. I just feel so disconnected from them. Recently well actually pretty much all of highschool they've been up my ass about homework, I've had a lot of issues that have held me back and I generally take longer to do homework. Even if I take longer, I've always turned everything. In on time and done well. As far as issues go I have a few: 1 something in the connection from my eyes to my brain was screwed up and it literally made focusing manual like I had to constantly force myself to focus, but we're good now, I went thru therapy and everything works the way it should 2 I'm completely undiagnosed but I'm pretty sure autistic, we have a family history of autism 3 a lot of depression and anxiety, thankfully I've moved on from having sillycidal thoughts and sh And besides that idk just relationship issues I just want to feel loved and like everything is going to be okay I feel so burnt out on life. This post has been a long time coming and there’s a lot of backstory.
My FIL has brain cancer and has been getting treatment in our city/ staying with us for treatments because he lives a few hours away in a rural area. My MIL and FIL have been divorced since my husband was in high school, but they get along now. Since we do not live nearby, my MIL helps us with the care of my FIL. I am very thankful for her help, but she’s become very overbearing since his diagnosis. It’s completely taken over her life for the last year or so.
We have tried to talk to her multiple times about letting other people help my FIL because it was clear she was letting this control her life. She remarried a few years ago and basically ignores her husband. My FIL can also be very cruel to her because he knows she’ll take it/ he feels safe with he also the brain cancer.
He is currently staying with us for radiation and has had some adverse reactions to it. She is refusing to let us bring him back to their town because she’s burnt out and doesn’t want to be burdened with him this weekend. She stayed with him last weekend and they fought quite a bit.
I fully understand why she wants a break, but I’m frustrated that this is the one weekend she’s going to put her foot down after months of us begging her to take a step back. Friday is my 30th birthday and my family had planned to come into town to celebrate for over a month. It’s also my last weekend before my maternity leave ends and I go back to work on Monday.
For the last two years, I have put my family on the back burner for every holiday. I just wanted one weekend to see them and celebrate my birthday/ have them spend time with their first grandchild.
My husband feels caught in the middle. I offered to cancel our plans with my family because I know he wouldn’t ask me to. I think that they would overwhelm my FIL, so the only option is to cancel. I also feel like a brat for being upset that my birthday is no longer happening when my husband is pre-grieving the loss of his father.
I don’t need advice, I just needed to rant.

Well. It happened to me. I never would have thought someone I talked to or dating would have come back but it happened today. Basically me and this guy were talking and went on a few dates and things were great. I really liked him and we clicked well.
Then he started to cancel dates. Then started to ignore calls and text messages. And just like that, I heard those faithful words... 'Im not ready for a relationship. Too much is going on.' and that was that. I didnt beg. I didnt ask why. I just said 'okay' and hung up.
Fast forward to now, about a month after we stopped talking. He asked if we could pick up where we left off and I politely told him no. My exact words were and I quote...
'Oh wow. So self sabotage was a better option? Screw me then lol.
In all seriousness, Im flattered butttt at this point I am no longer interested. You already showed me you leave at the first sight of conflict/discomfort. You ended it, not me. You didnt consider how I would feel about things ending but you did anyway. It shouldnt take time for you to appreciate my absence. Im not okay with that. I would rather you leave me alone since thats what you said you wanted.'
And here we are. On one hand, I did want to continue what we had but on the other, I dont want to give people a second chance to say they dont want me. Im already over it mentally and I refuse to get hurt again by someone who was unsure about me.
