2025.01.22 11:43 celestiallxo Had my dream job interview today... saw the exact moment I lost my chance. How do you cope?
Just had my final interview with NBCUniversal - one of my first proper interviews ever. I was so passionate about this role that I was ready to relocate internationally for it. Everything was going okay until I fumbled some answers, and you know that moment when you see the interviewers exchange that look? That subtle "not this one" glance? Yeah, that happened.
The worst part is knowing I'm capable of doing the role - I've got the technical skills and achievements to prove it. But interview nerves got the better of me and some of my answers came out less polished than I'd hoped.
Has anyone else experienced this? That gut-wrenching feeling when you know you've blown an opportunity you really wanted? How did you handle the aftermath? Any tips for moving forward or similar stories would be appreciated.

This is the 3rd time in the last six weeks or so this has happened. Recruiter reaches out to me about a role or two. We agree to schedule a call. Only for them not to show up. I reach out with a message or two, I might not even get a response? One person told me that they didn't get a notification for the call and they'd 'stepped out'. (Which to me sounds like they were walking their dog. I believe in this day and age, not being notified is a bad excuse.)
I have been in the position of searching for new roles a few times and this is the first time that I'm being ghosted by recruiters. I understand the situation for recruiters at large agencies is high volume and high turnover but a couple of these people are independent or boutique recruiters. I honestly find it pretty egregious it has come to this. I'm an experienced professional myself and I would not be caught dead behaving so unprofessionally. Especially since these recruiters were reaching out to me, not the other way around. I always stay perfectly professional even when they don't show up but I'm steaming on the inside.

What washing machine brand/ style does not need repairs often? What brand/ style is the worst? We have an LG front loader (about 7 years old and it has been bad from the start, but I kept it bc it still would run- most of the time. I do not want the same terrible experience now that this one has fully died.
