2025.01.22 13:09 hennared early am fog in Bellevue
Going to be in the area from out of town for a specialized surgery in Bellevue. We are staying in a place 6 mi N up the 405. Need to be at the surgery center by 6:30 am, and I gather freezing fog is a 'thing' in the area this time of year. How bad does it tend to get, along the 405?? Worried about impossible driving conditions, when being late is not an option.

I’m in my late thirties and have to carry an extra bag of pillows to be able to sleep let alone the discomfort I’m in from the added traveling stress!! My question is got anyone trying to travel longer than 30 days how do you maintain and manage your RX 💊 process?! Tried getting meds in other countries for example.. I know this can be dangerous depending on the country and impossible in most other countries and basically even just being out of state!!

Can someone help explain the Zoll? I have encountered it several times and I don't get how it's calculated or when I have to pay it.
When I first moved here, I had to ship my luggage. I arrived in the UK and shipped it from there. I was charged 360 euros on a declared value of 500 euros. But I had read that you can show proof of your rental contract and registration and not have to pay. Sadly that was not the case and I had to pay.
Then I got a gift shipped to me from the US with a declared value of 30 Euros and I had to pay 18 Euro Zoll.
Recently I had ordered a calendar from a UK charity. The calendar has a declared value of 10 euros and they wanted me to pay 8.75. I'm frustrated that the Zoll is continuously almost the same cost as the items, and I really don't understand why a calendar (it fits in a regular envelope no special binding or anything so essentially just paper) is being charged so much.
I also thought if the value was under 50 euro, there wasn't a Zoll.

I am a property manager, not owner but I have one tenant who lives in a remodeled smaller ranch style home that has there propane heat set to 70 and is complaining that on the week we have temps in the -8 fat night that his house is too cool at 60 degrees and won't stay at 70. He complained a few weeks ago asking to have the furnace checked because it doesn't shut off, I had it serviced and tuned up. They did not find anything wrong with it. This tenant signed a lease that stated utilities such as electric and heat/propane are not included. I don't know how to respond to this tenant as l've stated when there is freezing temperatures the house will take longer to get up to his desired temperature. I have stated in my own home, we use space heaters additional to our oil radiators and winterize the windows to lower heat costs. I live in an early 1900s poorly insulated home.
There are paragraph long complaints. I never text my landlord complaining about utility costs that is in my lease that I am responsible to pay. I just figure it out, even though we live paycheck to paycheck.
How would you handle responses to said tenant?
