I bought a passenger side mirror replacement on eBay but am lost on how to do the repair now. Do I take it to a shop? Would they quote me crazy costs bc Im a younger girl going by myself? Is it possible to do on my own? I also have to buy the driver side seatbelt to replace and fix the airbag on the seat but Im a little scared at how the prices for this will look since Im paying out of pocket and don't have any financial help for these costs. The algorithm is open source based on ONDC (government platform) . So there isn’t gonna be unfair ride charges based on a private business’s whims for the customer. And for the auto driver, entire fare goes to auto driver , zero platform commission.
Why so much protest by auto drivers when this solution exists?? Why doesnt Auto unions encourage everyone to use this app over ola or uber?

If this constitutes as medical advice then let me know and I’ll delete, however, I believe it may more relate to how to get help with GPs/the NHS.
My partner is seeking help with her upper arms. In the past she has struggled to maintain her weight, mostly due to a non existent thyroid. Bouncing between extremes has led to her upper arms being larger than what they should particularly in comparison to the rest of her body. She’s now on a stable diet and is pretty close to returning to a normal weight for her age/height etc.
Her arms are a massive irritation to her, and yes not only from a cosmetic perspective but in addition to mentally and physically dehabilitating. She finds it difficult to hold them above her head for any amount of time, even saying that showering can sometimes be a task.
She’s tried exercises, is consistently losing weight with no change in arm size, done pretty much everything we can think of or research.
She started looking at surgery to have them reduced. Specifically a place in Birmingham and also another place in Lithuania. Bearing in mind we have big life changes ahead of us, we simply cannot afford either option without maybe taking out a loan for the one in Lithuania. Birmingham is out of the equation with a potential cost of £8k+.
Myself and her mother convinced her to speak to her GP and make an appointment specifically about her arms. She said she has mentioned it before during appointments for other issues but has been brushed off. Anyway, she went to this appointment and the doctor was not sure if there was any help but ended up being able to get an appointment with the plastic surgery team at our local hospital. My partner was ecstatic at potentially finally being listened to- only for the very next day the appointment to be cancelled with no explanation. After speaking to the hospital, surgery and some other department, she found out it was cancelled because there was no funding for what they have deemed as cosmetic. The hospital department said she can speak to the surgery about funding options but it’s a dead end there.
So my question is, is that it? Have we exhausted what could be done via the NHS? Is there another route that can be looked at bearing in mind this is not strictly cosmetic but affecting her physically? Alternatively does anyone have experience or other suggestions of what we could look at? Else I fear she’ll be booking a trip to Lithuania.
I’m fully aware that some people will read this as someone who is just trying to game the system for a free plastic surgery session. I can assure you that can’t be further from the truth, I’m simply at my wits end of trying to find a solution to make her happy. She’s tried therapy also before that is a suggestion. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I joined Prolific 2 days ago, and I managed to do 50 odd studies so far, with 37 of the approved already. Now I have received a new study since last night at 5pm (It's 1pm atm here). I'm just wondering why is it that I'm not seeing any new studies? Is it to do with the number of waiting for approval studies that i have or is it simply just no new research in my area? I have a browser tab open at all times so it's so not likely that I just missed them and they simply filled before I got to see them, but you never know I guess.
I understand that is different for everyone but I'd just like to know what's your experience with it. Do you have busy and slow days often?

2025.01.22 12:55 Equivalent_Pie1900 UPS 4 weeks ago, PMS symptoms but VERY light period or spotting instead of normal period after Plan B

I know there are a ton of posts on here asking about Plan B and its effects on your period but my concern has different details. I had sex with no condom on Dec 24th, I took Plan B about 2.5 days later. I wasn’t planning on taking Plan B because I’m on BC and he pulled out, but 2 days after sex I had some bleeding. The sex was about 4-5 days after the last couple days of my period. I was on BC but not taking it “perfectly”, I was taking it within a 3 hour window each day and maybe once or twice a month I forget a dose and double up the next day. I started bleeding on the Jan 12th which is almost right at the 4 week mark from my last period starting but this bleeding was VERY light, no clotting like usual, mostly brown or pink, maybe 1-2 times did I actually see red blood. I started taking my BC again on the 19th and I’m still seeing pink when I wipe. I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after sex and then again on Jan 21st and both were negative. I’m still freaking out because I’ve been scouring the internet about early pregnancy and it’s bugging me out talking about taking a pregnancy test 4 weeks after sex may be to early and produce a false negative. Am I just psyching myself out and panicking for no reason or is there cause for concern? The thing that’s freaking me out is the fact that I bled 2 days after sex randomly (before Plan B) and now my period is extremely light or may just be spotting
