 | Alright, bear with me—I’m a little sleep-deprived and salty while writing this. I’ve got two German Shepherds: a 14-month-old male named Milo and a 6-year-old female named Korra. They’re best buds and inseparable, and we’ve had Milo since he was 12 weeks old. For the past several weeks, we’ve all been sleeping in the bedroom together as a pack—my husband, myself, and the two dogs. This is a fairly new arrangement because we recently stopped having Milo sleep in his crate at night. Instead, he now sleeps in the bedroom with the rest of us. Both dogs have their own comfy beds in the room, and for a while, everything was great. Milo used to wake up like clockwork between 7:15-7:30 AM, which worked perfectly for us. But lately, he’s been waking up around 6 AM, and let me tell you, that’s not flying anymore. Here’s the situation: I always take him out for a potty break right before bed. He’s usually asleep by 9-10 PM, and I head to bed around midnight. Before we migrate from the living room to the bedroom, he gets another chance to go out. He gets plenty of exercise and attention during the day—walks, flirt pole or fetch sessions, training, and lots of interaction since my husband works from home. The problem? When Milo wakes up at 6 AM, I’ve been taking him out to potty, but most of the time, he doesn’t even go. What’s worse, he doesn’t go back to sleep after—he’s just up and ready to start the day. I don’t want to reinforce this behavior because we’re not a 6 AM household. We’re a 7:15-7:30 household, and I desperately need that extra hour and a half of sleep. Does anyone have advice on how to stop him from waking up so early? I can’t keep doing this—it’s throwing my whole schedule off, and I know he doesn’t actually need to be up that early. I (M38) have been raised as a christian orthodox in a strict way. but I never understood the love of God and having a relationship with God. While growing up, everything wasnt as it was promised to be, reality was different and their was always something bad that happend, when you thought things would get good. maybe its life, but many times it is very dissapointing and after a series of experiences its hard to be able to have an open heart.
I have searched for answers from God and in the last years i learned a lot about him and build more love towards Him. I truely love God and think about Him every day and try to involve him with every decision that i have.
But I just dont understand what he wants from me.
I experience many familiedrama's that broke the whole familie up, Got into relationships where I got betrayed I have many churches in my area, but i never seem to feel connected. everybody knows everything and doesnt seem to care where you share beautifull things about your faith. eveytime you get a very lame, or dull reaction, when in your thought you made a big discovery about how great God is and how he is so active in our lives.
Priests never seem to have time, when he makes time, (after constantly begging for it) he gives you the feeling that its a burden that you took his time, because he is always so busy. The main subject is youth. and I dont think I have a place anymore in the church.
I pray to God everytime. 2-3 years ago I received the Holy Spirit (this is a different story) that released me from anxieties, fear, doubt and stress. at that moment I received the grace of God and was able to perform on 200% everyday of the week, without getting any kind of stress. I was joufull and very centred. I was really at peace and could take over the world. In that time I was still praying to God and was very greatfull towards him. I got into a relationship with a girl, who portraited herself as the perfect girl. I Believed God was on my side and God was finally blessing me after all the years of stuggles. I was exited about life and looking forward to marriage with this girl. But later she confessed that she was holding on an act because she has a bad history of trauma and mental issues. Dispited my efforts, I could change the situation and I couldnt let this girl just go. I had signs to let go, but i was hoping that a little guidance from the church and help for us as a couple, we could work things out. But this never came. The church kept its distance and didnt want to intervine. Things escalated, that influenced my mental health and at the end she cheated. It broke my heart, because we always we promised and believed we were made for eachother and that God prepared us until we met eachother. But at the end it came to an end.
After the break-up, it was like the Holy Spirit left me through out my relationship. I didnt feel blessed anymore, but rather cursed. I seeked God. I tried my best to keep the love in my heart for her and believe that this was ment to be. I worked even harder on my relationship with God. And believe that there is something bigger ahead for me. I am focussing the feel God from withing. Pure internally. But at the same time, I have doubts and I became super sensitive. even small comments towards me, seem to have big affect on me. And time is keep going by and I dont see any change in my life.
All the girls that I try to contact, dont seem available or are playing hard to get. My heart is closed, I dont want to wasted my time with games or 'figuring things out'. But it doesnt seem there is any change and the longer it takes the more I disliking the women of my culture.
I thought many times about staying celibet my whole life, but I cant. my heart is longing for connection and having a deep connection with a spous to share the love of God with. But I cant bring that to fullfilment. And being of service to my community didnt lead to any succes.
So I dont understand anymore. What does God want from me, while slowly die on my own, without some one around me to share the love with and no probabillity for offspring of mine. I like the orthodoxy, but when I received the Holy Spirit, it was not because my Orthodox way of faith. It was because of my longing for Christ and that I was willing to fully let go of my will and commit to his will. And now, I dont know anymore. What is Gods will for me? Not to marry? stay alone and single my whole life? build a connection with God outside of the church? working on becoming better before i connect with a community?
I own a house, am financially stable, goodlooking, fit, intellegent, but still I cant get a woman to love.
Does God has a plan for every single person? or is it just Wishfull thinking. are we ment to accept what is happening to us. and try to be joyfull by ourself (however thats possible) and throw out all our desire for connection and intemacy outside the door?

2025.01.22 12:55 Consultingtesting Checking for an open port ?? Sanity Check please.
I have an Asus RT AC66 B1 router that is my OpenVPN server as it has OpenVPN built in. It has worked great.
The way I log in is I have a port forward on my ISP's router that forwards the port 1194 to my WAN ip of my ASUS router (192.168.127.4). It has worked fine.
However I have changed ISP's and they have a new router. I have tried to set up a port forward but it does not work.
However if I log into the ISP's WIFI signal, what I'm calling Local, I can use OpenVPN and it logs into my Asus router. This means that the OpenVPN program works on my phone can happily login to the Asus router without any problems. The VPN is then set up right.
BUT when I turn off my WIFI on my phone, so its like IM outside in the world it does not connect. There is no log file on the router so I can't see what is going on. The ISP will not help with port forwards.
Setting up the port forward is very simple on the ISP's router:
- Protocol
- TCP&UDP TCP UDP ( I have tried all of them)
- Name test123
- Remote IP (optional) Left blank
- Remote port range 1194 - 1194
- Local IP 192.168.127.4 (the wan port of my Asus router)
- Local port range 1194 - 1194
Well here is my initial question:
IS this a good test. Is this telling me that for some reason the ISP's router simply is not opening up the port? I would like a sanity check here. Of course the ISP says I'm doing something wrong and it does work. But nothing else. Honestly I dont think the router is doing port forwarding.
Oh by the way the router from the ISP is a Mercku M6a-2971 which as far as I can tell is a Chinese fairly dumb router. Attached to it is a Cable modem.

9 month old is sharing room with almost 5 yr old. We moved her out of our room a approximately 6 months of age. She is able to fall asleep by herself and has a solid nap schedule and bedtime routine. The problem is that my older girl likes to read books before she goes to bed with a lamp on. It’s a soft light, not super bright, but is just enough that baby thinks it’s playtime when we put them to bed and won’t fall asleep until the older girl turns the light off. However, sometimes that’s not for another half hour, and by that time baby is overtired, so after the light goes off she has trouble falling asleep and will cry and that bothers the older girl, and she won’t stop crying until I go in and rock her to sleep. So she’s not falling asleep independently, and then wakes up more during the night and has early morning wakings. When she is in our room and it’s dark, she has no problem falling asleep by herself. But we don’t want her in our room anymore and she needs to share a room with her older sister. How can we make this work? Any creative ideas? We don’t want to tell our older girl she can’t read books anymore because it might lead to resentment of the baby and we like that she has that healthy habit to help her calm down and get ready for sleep and we want to encourage that. However, it does need to be dark for baby. We’ve tried giving our older girl a small book light, which she does use sometimes, but it isn’t ideal and she doesn’t like using it all the time because it’s not bright enough. We’ve also tried having baby fall asleep in our room and then just transfer her before we go to sleep, but that seems to disturb her sleep as well. We have a small room being used as an office that we could move baby to, but I see this as a temporary solution as eventually she would have to move back to the shared room and we’ll be back in the same boat. I’ve also thought of something like a slumber pod but don’t want baby to become dependent on that either and also seems like a temporary solution to me - eventually the slumber pod will have to come down. Ideas?

I just came across a video by this obviously genius individual. He was talking about one student who had a 1580, 3.9, ISEF Finalist and 8 APs. He applied to only ivies (obviously) and got rejected from every single one of them. Oh he applied to one state school and is now being forced to go there, some school in LA... I think it was one of those UC thingies. Tbh i would rather not go to college than have to go to a state school.
Anyways I have identical stats to that guy and if he didn't get in, then theres no point in me even applying. I mean, this Limmy guy seems so real. this can't be fake.
so anyways, i'm gonna give up i think. I knew I shouldve studied more and get a 1600, 4.0 but oh well. I'll prolly travel europe and then run my dads investment fund.
