Hi, I am currently looking to get my first watch and I had taken huge interest in how bauhaus watches looks. I checked the buyer guide in the sub but its so outdated that I can barely find any available models out there. Few of the striking ones are the Orient Bambino and Sternglass Hamburg/Naos, I would like to know if there's any other recommendations that I might dig more.
Side note, I've seen some bad impression on Miyota 8215 Automatics? I understand that its mass produced and overused, but are there really flaws in it that justify the distaste?

hey people
this post might be seeming very odd at first for some people, for others maybe a clichéèe or a joke but after thinking about it for a long time, i thought to at least try there is a reason i am specifically on this page of San Diego, so i hope my words and post won’t be deleted and whoever you are, you’ll keep reading
i hope it will in any case have some kind of message for all the people, even if the person im hoping would see this wouldn’t see it
i can only say i have good intentions (okay probably everyone who actually doesn’t also says that hm) and it would really be so cool if my message did get through to that person i wish this message to get through to…
if nothing else, let this be a cool story about how important learning good communication is, and a story of appreciating getting to know people, appreciating the fact we even have chances of getting to know people, sometimes with people we never could have imagined having that chance with
bc first impressions are so deceitful us easily believing those first impressions could be said to be our minds deceiving us, so to say i feel we might often lose chances of meeting actually very great people, because we think we might not like them we might not vibe with them or by just putting our own ideas of how they could be on them
until we might be proven wrong; by luck, by coincidence, by not believing those impressions…
why i am on this reddit page? well… some time ago, i by a random coincidence began chatting to a person online and we kept chatting for some time. i am so grateful that this coincidence ever happened, also mesmerised by what kind of connections you might get to experience in life, just by coincidence so amazing. so cool. also got to be cautious when online…
i really appreciated my talks with this person and what i learnt from them about myself and in general.
unfortunately, after chatting for some time, things got a bit confusing from both sides and i said things i started regretting; one of the things being that i would not be wanting to be talking to this person anymore, due to my (now recognising that it was mostly about me being scared, also good thing i guess to be a bit scared of ppl online lol) perception of them
i said things that surely affected this person not in the best way, where i feel i should have been more understanding. but i regretted it too slow. after that, we lost contact due to this person removing me from that social media platform. fair.
it has now been some time since this person removed me, and that time i have been thinking if i should post this or not.
i know life is not a movie and i want to keep things rational. yet, yes, i am here writing this message, in the hopes that somehow, my message would get to this person.
so, why am i writing in here specifically and probably ready to get laughed at or thought of as incredibly weird… which i’d understand honestly
well… when we were still talking, this person told me they study something (that im not going to be specifying in here) in San Diego. of course, how would i be able to surely know whether or not this was true? well… i wouldn’t but that’s all i could choose to believe now
and this is why i’m here, writing seeming probably tiny bit weird yes… just ”tiny bit”…
but then again… isn’t life in so many ways tiny bit weird anyways…? so i thought to at least try
and i want to make this very clear; i don’t know this person’s most personal information, and i wouldn’t even want to or need to. i would not want to know more than they wanted me to know and what i already know. and especially even if i did know, i would never share it here.
but i am here, because all i would wish for regarding this, is for this person to see my words, to get my apology out there, anywhere apology for playing my part in making things confusing… and i hope, posting here would make the chances for that, for this person to see that, a bit higher than none
and i do believe… if this person did see this message… some bell in their head would ring that it is for them
who knows, maybe this person reads the subreddit of San Diego daily? maybe that’s the first thing they do upon waking up ”ahhh…. what’s new San Diegoooo” ?
realising to regret things too late can be a painful thing but at least it’s an opportunity to learn something from the experience, whatever that experience and i realise, it sometimes feels so easy or easier in the moment to just react on emotion, just to realise afterwards how much harder it has just made things
that is something i think we can perhaps all work always more on… no?
i do realise how absurd this whole message might sound yes, one could say why do i care or why not just let it be. valid questions indeed. very good questions.
but i truly did care about this person and still do. that is why i would love to make sure they know i really am sorry and maybe in the future there could be a chance hearing from them again maybe because i really do care about them
i guess the thought of possibly losing a person forever due to a lot of words and things is a great incentive to try something, even this
and if losing them forever is how it will be, i would love to at least feel i tried to make a change in that
in the end the worst that i guess could be is that this person lied about themselves in regards to this beautiful place of San Diego
and i guess, if nothing else, this is a reminder to people, to myself, to whomever, to try to practice patience and take a time out when feeling a lot of emotions, rather than acting or speaking on them time, i feel, will always give a lot of perspective okay, if not a lot, at least some and communication… some good of it… that especially can give some very much needed perspective
so… wherever this person is, if they are… i hope you see this really do
and the rest of the people… hope you have fulfilling lives and connections
