I apologize in advance if my post sounds ignorant. I have recently realized I'm interested in veterinary school.
Quick description of my academic and personal background:
Academic: Graduated college 2.5 years ago with a degree in philosophy and history of math and science, GPA 3.75. Interned in a neuroscience lab working with rats for a summer where I also assisted in surgery and did most of the animal handling. Did an experimental fellowship in art, philosophy, and technology and also audited a neuroscience graduate class at a prestigious university then took a break from academia and bartended for the last year. My goal was to eventually go to grad school for neuroscience but I know now I don't feel comfortable with animal research because animals cannot consent, the practices are very invasive, the animals live in captivity, etc.
Personal: I have always seen myself working with animals (my first dream job as a kid was to become a dog trainer). As a teenager, I volunteered at an animal shelter and rescued strays (my country of origin has lots of strays.) I feel comfortable around animals and have two rescues of my own -- a cat and a dog. I love learning, especially about animals.
My current plan is to look for entry-level jobs at vet clinics, such as front desk positions or kennel assistant and also take some biology and chemistry classes at the community college. Ideally, I would like to start vet school 1.5 years from now (Fall 2026) at UC Davis(preferably). Is this realistic at all? What other things can I do?
P.S. Is vet school ever a real possibility for someone with a very low income? I'm open to taking loans but I don't otherwise have any savings or any other way to pay for school.

Is anyone else becoming increasingly annoyed with the amount of dog shit that is left on the sidewalks? Every single step I take there is dog shit on the street. I own a dog and alwaysssss clean up her poop, even if it’s liquid diarrhea I’m still scraping that shit up. I don’t understand why people own dogs and then don’t clean up after them. Just don’t have a dog. Anyways, that’s my rant. PSA to dog owners please clean up your dog’s shit. It’s unkind to your neighbors and you can also spread infectious diseases to other dogs.

This might be the most random post ever. But I visited Gettysburg college in 2015 and I had the best lemonade I’ve ever had in my entire life. I still think about it (clearly lol). I cannot remember the restaurant I got it at. I had done a college tour, and probably got it during lunchtime afterwards.
Anyone have any idea of where this lemonade could be from? Hopefully the place still exists 10 years later haha

Tem as pessoas que criticam o Trump e já vem uma dúzia dizendo "ah mas o Brasil..." "Ah mas o Lula..." Eu fico até triste vendo o tanto que as pessoas são alienadas e dividas a ponto que achar bom quando o "inimigo" se lasca, mesmo eles se lascando também.

Infold…what’s going on in the writing room? You had the perfect opportunity to create and angsty and dramatic reunion, to really let MC revel in her emotions and really let Caleb have a piece of her mind after making her believe she was an orphan again for almost a YEAR.
And then she just…doesn’t react? She’s just happy he’s alive and hugs him?? Like hello? MC is implied to be traumatized after the explosion (as anyone would be). Why isn’t she more distraught? More angry? It is extremely unrealistic that the first emotion she’d be feeling is joy after thinking she lost the only other family she’s had. FOR A YEAR.
I’ve read fanfics with more substance than that. It’s like MC doesn’t get anyone character development and is just going along for the ride. Not to mention she just willingly moved in with him immediately…didn’t ask more questions…wasn’t suspicious, just accepted what he told her at face value. Like huh? This can’t be the same MC that attempted to shoot Sylus…
Now onto Caleb. Yandere trope, love it! What I don’t love is how dismissive, avoidant and condescending he comes across. He treats MC like a child almost?? It just didn’t sit well with me how he talks to her like her feelings are insignificant. And I LOVE the yandere trope, but Infold made him so unlikable that not even that is pulling me in anymore.
And overall the dynamic between the two of them feels off…like there’s a lot of telling us what’s happening between them but not showing. Genuinely finished it feeling like I don’t know Caleb any better than I did before.
These are just my opinions and thoughts!! You if loved it, good for you!! But I’ve found he’s not the guy for me and I will be sticking to the others sadly. I wanted to like him so bad but Infold sucks in the writing department sometimes.
