Hello all. I'm looking for ways/suggestions/advice to get more direct experience in copyediting and proofreading.
I started my transition to the publishing industry this past September by enrolling in a university certificate program. I recently passed a copyediting and proofreading test with a book publisher in NYC and have started freelancing with them this month.
I know I just started, but I'm eager to get more experience and continue learning. I find copyediting and proofreading quite fun, and the activity scratches an itch in my brain.

 | This past year the CEO of the company I was working at texted me on Christmas Eve stating that the company "is heading in another direction."They informed me that I would be paid for the remainder of the year but terminated thereafter. Since then I have applied to a number of different opportunities (if I had to throw a rough estimate probabably 15-25 applications each day) and have not heard back from very many other than automated responses to the applications. I wanted to ask if anyone here has any recommendations for my resume. If there are any HR wizards in this forumn, is there a separate platform other than LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter that companies have moved towards utilizing? I have gone directly through company sites for many of the companies that I've applied to since they have their independent career portals (Ex. Oracle, Google, Hospitals, etc.). The game feels more like homework than a game. A chore to do tasks, check tasklists, do reaserch of what team counters what (way less theorycrafting) and the new matchmaking issues in GA really make this feel less like a game and more like smth I would do for work. I may come back at some point to see my Kenobi and Bane and how they stack up in future metas but for now.. bye

Hi i'm new to modding and i created a modlist with 358 mods ... now i get a ctd after maybe 5mins of playing sometimes later sometimes earlier. Honestly not the worst. I would change some things here and there, but not terrible. I’m assuming this Meguna (no Mahoraga) can’t manifest at all.
What I would change
Stamina: has to be Gojo. His efficiency is insane, and he’s canonically hit THE MOST BF’s (just not consecutively),so he’s more likely to hit a few BF’s in any fight with Sukuna, then Sukuna could. The fact these BF’s recharge his CE a bit makes the overall CE gap less exaggerated, and his decently superior efficiency makes it even less noticeable.
Skill: I’d give to Sukuna. He’s simply mastered more of Jujutsu.

Hello! I partially tore my lisfranc and fractured my second and third metatarsal aswell as my medial cuneiform. Was non weight bearing for 6.5 weeks before starting physical therapy and being told I could start putting weight on it. Now two weeks later I have been to six physical therapy sessions and I am wondering if anyone has advice.
Walking with crutches (75-100% of weight) is painful, especially the outer part of my foot and the lisfranc area. My PT says that this is normal as my foot hasn't been weight bearing for a long time but it makes me nervous. PT sessions are also quite painful, especially when the therapist manipulates my foot or has me press it towards my shin.
Any advice at all would be much appreciated! I haven't seen much information on non-operative lisfranc so I'm having trouble understanding if this is normal.

first, depression is an illusion. but i am using the term for ease of getting my message across
i am looking for someone preferably close to my timezone (gmt +5:30, India) to help me track myself and improve me energy and wellbeing. i want to track the tasks of the idea, projects that i may be working on, hobbies or if there's nothing happening, i can still live, go out and enjoy life.
i am not working at the moment, its been over a year and i am in no rush to go back. i have taken some time to "do what i love". but the sheer difficulty of being accepted for this joblessness in my community and family, is making me emotionally crippled. a small part of me still shines silently inside telling me to keep going at my own pace and choosing the directions i am called towards, instead of fixating on a destination and pouring all of myself into it. Osho once said: if you decide a destination? you have already killed your future, because you are simply repeating the past over again, taking decisions based on past experiences. He says direction can only 'Be felt' , not decided. i think a balance of both is important, but i want to implement a directional living, intuitive living. I want to simplify my life.
things i am seeking accountability for: 1. fixing tasks and doing them (mainly organising around the house) 2. spending time doing tiny/weekly projects (a mix of artistic endeavours and coursera learning)
other goals i am pursuing: 1. regular qi gong, walks and workouts 2. learning to cook 3. keeping a diary and regularly taking some time think 4. reading
my overall goal is to regain my self-confidence, and love, faith and effort for the things i am doing, so i can stop seeking other's validation. having someone to talk to about progress would make the world of a difference. the world around really doesn't want me to do anything that disturbs their idea of life / reality, i am subjected to constant projection of fears, and its just sad, and sometimes difficult to navigate back to myself. i Hope to create a keystone habit as well, something, art or music, and i am doing all of this silently and secretly. someone might just mistakenly tread on these saplings of my life, i think its best to let the seeds grow into trees before i allow trespassers.
i would also be open to a few body-doubling sessions a week, if required or desired , for additional support.
in return , i will support you in your unique "getting out of depression" or spirit transformation journey

I am thinking a corner TV stand might be nice in this space but I love to hear other peoples ides for how to best utilize the space. I recently moved into a new apartment (please excuse some of the mess) and thus far in my adult life have been only been using hand me down furniture from family members or cheap target furniture to simply fill a need. Now that I am settled in I am looking at actually "designing" the space. A lot of my hand me down furniture is metal/wood so I'm thinking of sticking with that theme as money is tight but I'm open to other design ideas. I have a toddler so that definitely affects my choices a little as I want the living room to be his space too. Thanks!
