One thing I’ve noticed is that the things Nate does that make him stand out, that make his “Big”, are mostly trauma responses. He has a neglect wound from his mom leaving so he chases unavailable people (Jenny), seeks attention however he can, and gets angry and vindictive when people threaten to take what he wants away from him. He is honestly an incredibly deep character with so many different parts of his personality. When I was in middle school I was extremely similar to Nate and reading the books again at 19 has honestly been an effective way of processing my childhood and integrating difficult emotions and experiences from middle school.

2025.01.22 18:11 FactorBudget9648 Diagnosed with iga, wanting opinions
I was just diagnosed with iga. No symptoms, but urine showed elevated protein on a test I took for life insurance. Got a biopsy and confirmed iga. My neph is recommending 9 months of tarpeyo plus Lisinopril. My gfr e is 88.
I'd like to avoid the tarpeyo if possible due to side effects of a long term steroid. Anyone have experience with lowering inflammation through diet and lifestyle rater than drugs? Or should I just take the 9 month course?
I'm not really sure what to think or how aggressive my disease can be. Would appreciate any and all input.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always woken up with an extremely puffy face. Usually it’s the most noticeable in my lips, cheeks and nose, sometimes my eyelids. Like the little bit of structure my face has completely disappears. But it’s annoying to me because it’ll last for hours even into the afternoon some days. Is there a way to prevent this? I’ve tried facial massages, daily face washing routine, gua sha, cutting sugar and sodium etc. when I was younger, I actually didn’t realize that I had a somewhat structured face. because my diet and stress levels were so crappy that I had constant morning face that would last for almost half of the day.

I've been abusing adderall since early last year, and it has really sunk its ugly nails. I felt so close to quitting for good in NovembeDecember. When our holiday break began, I told myself I will just coast at work and, if they fire me, so be it - better that than keeping this habit alive. But it took no time for me to relapse - got a new prescription the second day of returning back to work. And now the cravings and feeling of needing it is worse than ever, perhaps because my depression is now a constant both on and off the pills.
I'm afraid of keeping this up, but I'm even more afraid of quitting. I want to ask for help, but I also want to withdraw and scream don't you dare take away my pills.
Because of a move that I made last year, I have no savings, and I'm in debt. My boyfriend is trying to start a business with his life-long friend and hasn't had a stable income in over a year. He's now looking for full-time work to help, but I'm not in a position where I can take a recovery sabbatical. I feel the pressure to keep working, keep making money, keep keeping up the ambition that has long run out.
I'm not sure how to manage this or how to wake up and at least try to quit. That's the fucking thing - I can't even try. I give in without a second thought.
If anybody has some advice or words of support, it would mean a lot. I no longer feel hope.

I know that there are alot of people who like to claim that we are in a post-boygroup era, however- I don't believe that. Alot of people believe that there is not 'market' or desire for boygroups but I don't believe this to be the case. When One Direction slowly faded out in 2015, a few years later BTS filled exactly that void. And afterwards another band will fill exactly this void. We can see that Korea desperately tries to make the next big thing happen again but I doubt that the next big boy group will come from korea. I predict that there will be another One Direction type of band coming up within the next years.
What do you think?

Fui convidado pra ser padrinho, tive que ir lá fazer um "cursinho" na Igreja(católica), chegando lá, eles fizeram uma ficha de todos os participantes, e perguntam se é católico ou não. Ao final do curso, eles entregam essa ficha pra cada um, mas aos que não são católicos eles dizem pra ligar no outro dia e para agendar uma "entrevista" com o padre, pra ver se ele aprova o "não católico" ser padrinho. Eu liguei no dia seguinte e a moça simplesmente disse que eu não posso ser padrinho por não ser católico kkkkkkkkk ou melhor, por não "dizer" que sou católico, na ingenuidade anteriormente eu tinha dito que não era porque eu realmente não frequento. O que achei mais intrigante é que durante esse "curso" eles falam sobre outras religiões, dizem que as outras fazem de uma "forma errônea", dizem respeitar e tal mas é só na teoria kkkkkkkkkkkk (nada contra quem frequenta)
