The richest loser ever. But also, why does it seem like republicans are fake believers, they’re nothing but hypocrites and walking contradictions. Hello all.
Since toilet training my son (with many a cleaned up accident), I've noticed our socks feel sticky to the touch and have browny/black substance on. So far, to the clean the carpets, I have (not in this order):
Shampooed the carpet with Shark Xpert 3 x times Rinsed with white vinegar & water solution in the carpet cleaner machine Sprinkled baking soda and left overnight and hoover up Steam mopped on mid setting with white vinegar and water solution
However, much to my frustration, the carpet STILL ruins our socks! None of the carpets in any of the rooms look dirty or smell bad.
I'm at my wits end with this, and driving my wife mad in the process.
Is there anything else I can try? I don't have the money to replace carpets or underlay unfortunately.

I'm 22 years old and I just failed my 5th attempt for my driver's test today. I feel like such a loser since I'm about to graduate university with honors, yet this is the one thing I think I'm legitimately stupid at. Both of my parents say I do well during practice, but my anxiety shoots through the roof whenever I enter the testing environment.
What makes it worse is that 4 out of 5 of my proctors seem to have excessively hostile attitudes that further my anxiety. After failing today, my proctor questioned how many times I've taken the test and asked. "What is wrong with you?" I understand how it can be scary for proctors to ride with new drivers, but those types of comments makes me feel like never driving again instead of bouncing back.

Hi guys, myself and my gf just got back to the UK from a trip to the south island and whilst we were out there my gf saw a sweatshirt she absolutely loved and wanted really badly but we didn't have the chance to grab it in time before we left as we thought we'd have time to go back but ended up running late.
I REALLY wanted to get her it as a suprise gift for her bday (end of Feb) but they don't sell them online, only in the RealNZ stores in Queenstown and Te Anau as far as I know.
Is ANYONE either heading to the UK soon or willing to post a sweatshirt (fully compensated obviously). It would be so awesome to get it for her but it seems you can only get it in those stores.

Not hating or anything, it is just i find that most of times they discuss a lot of about business metrics and other things but while giving offer they lowball it to the extent that it becomes unviable for the pitcher. So if they are not willing to take any risks and just want to discuss business models, they should be introduced as hosts who would explain what is right or wrong about the business model.

To follow up, or not.
My situation is I applied for a position last month, did the exam, says my rank was 1. I've logged in to check things on occasion with no change to anything.
Under "Job Applications" where it once said the position I applied for, says "no records found"... there's an "in progress" tab, "submitted" tab, and "archived" tab. All say "no records found". My exam/assessment for the position is still there, as is my application template and uploaded documents.
I'm wondering if this is something I should follow up on, or just let it go. Maybe the job opening was removed? Hoping someone who knows more than I do about this sort of thing can shed a little light on if I should follow up and ask "Just wondering about the position and if my application made it through. The CalCareers website is shedding a little doubt on how things appear currently. Thank you."
Site says to contact the department for questions/concerns.

As I am sure all of you are, I have been checking my email and lawhub for admissions updates probably too frequently. I applied to 4 Chicago schools, DePaul, Kent, UIC and Loyola, at the end of December before Christmas. I have yet to hear anything admissions related.
Have any of you applied and heard back? What did the timeline look like? Or who out there is still waiting like me and when did you apply?
I should probably just chill out but I seriously can't. DePaul's website says that applicants should receive a decision within four weeks, and if not, to reach out to the office. I am past this mark but hesitant to reach out - I have heard horror stories about people reaching out and getting denied the next day. These stories were not specifically about DePaul, but it still worries me.
Any feedback about your experiences would be helpful! Even if they do not directly pertain to the schools I listed. Good luck everyone!!

Writing based on the assumption that it was in the 1800’s that there were serious movements to standardized languages, dialects and vernaculars into one language. How did composers and lyricists before the 1800’s choose the language/dialect/vernacular to write lyrics in for their compositions. For example, were there already “prestige” dialects for Italian and German for operas, or did it depend more on the region or city state they came from? Or even was it more influenced by who their patron/court they worked for?
