I was looking for some new sims 4 nsfw mods and the name 'allthefallen' popped up in a reddit post. I googled it out of curiosity and now I feel like I've ended up in a watchlist or something. It was a wiki like site that hosted very illegal stuff. How is this thing so readily available? All you have to do is google it?
I havent seen a lot of discussion surrounding the matter except for one post in a skyrim community.
I've never been so disgusted in all my life...

i have two computers hooked up, one to DP1 and one to HDMI 1. if the DP1 is idle for a couple minutes, the monitor sources what's supposed to be DP1 to hdmi1, so the HDMI input is occupying both pictures. how do i prevent this?

 | my 15 year old baby boy, Lilo, passed away last night. ive had him since i was 9 and his passing was very painful to watch, he had 3 seizures before he was gone. he was a stray that adopted us after we moved into “his” duplex unit in 2010, he disappeared for a month and came back with no tail and he’d been neutered, we decided he’d been through enough and he was in our family now so we let him inside officially and hes been our baby ever since i think he picked up on some skills as a stray, i swear he would meow the clearest “hello?” ive ever heard. he was such a socialite. he used to walk me to the bus stop my entire school career, everyone knew my cat walked me to the bus and then went home. another time he figured out when he caught something we’d give him treats (to lure him away from it so we could throw it away) so he started carrying shoes to my door and meowing like he caught something for attention and treats. oh god my heart is burning for him. ive lost pets before but he is so deeply welded into my childhood and who i am, i cant help but fall out about this. i love him so so so so much and im so so happy i got to live life with him for as long as i did. im so grateful for him and i just dont know what to do. i know this will get better with time but god it hurts so bad now. i have amazing people around me who loved him too and are supporting me through this and im so grateful. i just needed to shout about how amazing Lilo was and always will be. im sorry the world never got to know him, you all were robbed submitted by OriginalNo9830 to cats [link] [comments] |

So I just skimmed through the contents page, and I know a bit of Korean. 50 chaps are out and chap 50 is the carapace centurion fight for those interested in the pacing. I estimate about 1 webnovel chapter to a comic chapter for now. Obviously since I don't know enough Korean to acc read it I could be wrong about the pacing. Can't wait for it to come out in English!

2025.01.22 18:12 Alternative-Safe2458 I want to do a case study on myself.
I have recently seen many posts providing copious amounts of evidence suggesting that it is essentially impossible to increase the VCI of individuals. However, I am skeptical of their conclusions. I plan to take a VCI test within the next week, do my best to read every day, and retest my VCI annually until it improves sufficiently. I have probably read fewer than 30 books in my life, and I am currently 18 years old. I've also never taken any official IQ tests, but my JCTI score is approximately 150, and other online tests, such as CAIT, AGCT, and GET, place me at around 135.
I would appreciate it if folks in this subreddit could recommend VCI tests for me to use in my experiment. Thank you.

I read the handbook before and after taking the AIARE 1 course. It seems to me that it would really benefit from proofreading and editing (jump to the second-to-last paragraph if you wonder why I believe it matters!)
Some examples of very low hanging fruits that could have been fixed with proofreading:
- "principal" spelled "principle" three times (so, all the times: "principal" is not found in the document)
- paragraphs repeated verbatim (multiple occurrences)
- wrong page references (multiple occurrences)
- inconsistent capitalizations
- 2024 copyright on the verso of the front page, but 2020 on the inner pages.
You may ask what the big issue with the above is, as it may seem small stuff. The issue I see is one of perception: such small stuff lik gives the impression that the handbook was written someone who doesn't pay attention to detail and to what they are doing. A reader may then transfer this impression to the content, and ask themselves if they can trust the content, since it seems written by people who do not pay attention. An additional issue I see is that people are paying for this content: organizations have to pay for the AIARE materials, and so do course attendees. It seems reasonable to expect well-written materials.
As an afterthought, I just checked the AIARE fieldbook (or the "AIARE Backcountry Decision-Making Guide", as it is officially called, even if the handbook always refers to it as "AIARE Fieldbook", which is at least confusing), and it is similarly in need of proofreading and editing, not to mention an evaluation of its effectiveness, as it was pointed out in a recent thread).
Not a rant, just some observations. Would love to know what people think about these materials.

Basically, I started playing sims a couple days ago and oh my god, I cannot stop playing. I have my boards (gcse equivalent basically) In 20 days and a practice exam tommorow but I ended up playing sims for 12 hours, neglecting all studies and basic functioning today. It's gotten to the point where I cannot live without the game.
Please, send advice on as to how I can stop.

I passed the bar in my state and was sworn in last November.
I clerked at a mid-sized firm starting at the beginning of 2L and after being promised that I was getting an offer letter at the end of 2L summer, I waited and waited until they finally got it to me…by May the next year.
I work on the DataSec/Privacy team and really enjoy the work, but rarely bill 6/7/8 hours per day.
The partner I work for is completely remote, but I go into the office. No chance he ever comes in. Nobody else on this team works in the office either. I find this incredibly challenging because I don’t really get an open line of communication and some days I am practically begging for billable work. Meanwhile, I see my fellow associates chatting about cases together and getting feedback - something I don’t have.
I want to learn and grow, and I’m just not finding any opportunities for doing so. I feel that I am missing valuable mentorship and training that I really need as a new associate. Should I just sit at my desk and do the little work I am given and just accept that I’m not going to reach my hours goals? Is it too early to find something new? I don’t see myself at this firm in the long term and the environment of being ignored and having nobody else to talk to is taking a toll.

My sweet neighbor’s dog had puppies! She is keeping all 5 of them because she has had dogs all her life and just loves them to bits. The pups are 3 male, 2 female.
The momma’s name is Justice and the dad’s name is Tank. Justice is a black lab mix and Tank is a Rottweilelab mix. The pubs seem to be mostly black & brown.

2025.01.22 18:12 user193838282 Do I leave my first job after only four months?
Four months ago I started my very first postgrad job. It wasn’t in the field I had studied but I needed money and wanted to get my foot into the corporate world as this company is extremely well known within the sports world. However this job has been miserable. I was told I was stupid by one of the people highest up in the company during my first two weeks or so. I am given tasks that are physically impossible to tackle and get berated verbally when I can’t complete them yet am given no support or help or guidance.
Then most recently I “got in trouble” because they felt I was asking my coworker for too much help (mind you they won’t answer the questions I ask them and tell me I overcomplicate things but still won’t ever give me answers).
I cry every day I’m at work and hate it so much. Most of my friends tell me to stick it out for as long as I can because it will look good on my resume but I truly have anxiety attacks every day at work (I never got them before this job). The turnover rate is extremely high in this company and department so it wouldn’t be anything new to them but I just feel so embarrassed that now if I decide to leave, I’ll have to go back and tell everyone that I couldn’t handle this job at this really well known company.
I know I will quit and will soon it’s just so hard getting the courage to put in my two weeks. Any advice would be much appreciated.
