Hello, after lurking on this subreddit for a while, I can tell I'm many, many levels below most of you guys. I started skiing as an adult and, while I'm looking to progress, I'm also taking it slow and generally happy on greens and easier blues. I'll do hard blues a couple times a day but they're definitely not usually my speed.
I know at my level, gear probably doesn't matter too much, but I live by mount hood and ski enough that renting is no longer economical. I've been looking at some discount skis that are hopefully beginner-intermediate appropriate. I'm not big on speed and treat skiing more like a rhythm activity (idk if this makes sense). It's probably evident at this point I almost exclusively ski groomers. Sometimes i venture a little and I also love a baby jump now and then. Here are the options, if you guys could help me choose. Well after 2 months of trying to identify the guy who broke into my building and stole my ebike, I got a call from HRP. It has been in evidence pretty much since I reported it missing. Thoughts are that he abandoned it shortly after stealing it and a good Samaritan turned it in. All my accessories are still on it, only thing missing being the gloves I had in the bag on the frame.
I am beyond thankful that it's been found. Already registered it on Project 529 so I don't have to wait for the bike to be identified as mine if taken again.
They still have a lot of bikes where the owners do not have the serial numbers. If you are missing a bike and don't know the serial, try to think of any customizations you have made. It could be something as simple as a sticker that identifies it as yours.

switched to deliveroo and been buying gift cards (5-12% savings) from shopback but it's NA since a month ago, only able to earn 1% cashback instead. monthly rotation on discounted restaurants and $0 delivery fee save for 60c charges. certain restaurants are of course not on this platform, but McD is newly added.
app/CSO been acting all airy this month. no compensation when wrong drink delivered. no refund for a serving of white rice missed out of delivery. they insistently want you to fill in a form on the UK site instead for "reassessment". not sure if I'm gonna waste more time on this. wondering if anyone else encountered such issues?
is pandapro is more worthwhile now? because they selectively included free delivery on certain restaurants they want you to order, nothing to do with distance. CSO is a joke if you know what I mean but at least there's still live chat. anyway, if anyone has promo codes for non new customer, do share.
grab does have some fixed discount deals but the demand always requires a top up of few $ more even with subscription. absolutely no live chat so the usual problem is an issue (not able to cancel when it's taking too long or closed shop), but satisfactory compensation does happen after a day or two.

Hello, it’s me, again. I’m just looking for some help getting an uber to work tonight. I just started a warehouse job and everything has been getting better until the morning of January 11th when I was on my way home from work. I had slid on black ice. I’m fine, but my car is totaled. I was able to get a rental car for 10 days, but that time is up. My roommate and I have been sharing a car since. She has work today until 7pm and I need to be at work for 6. I feel really bad asking, I just don’t know what else to do. I would need about $75 in total. It’s roughly $33 for the ride and then a little extra for the tip. And before anyone asks, yes I looked into lyft and that was even more expensive than uber. There are no taxis in my town. I also get out at 2:30am so I cannot get a bus at that time.
