I'm feeling very torn about whether to pursue a PhD now, later, or perhaps not at all. I already hold a Master's degree and recently started working, but I've come to realize how much I miss the university environment and engaging with complex, challenging topics.
To explore my options, I applied to another Master’s program at a prestigious university. If I get in, I would likely receive a generous scholarship—potentially earning more than I currently do. However, at my former university, which is less known in other parts of the world, an interesting opportunity for a PhD has arisen.
This leaves me in a dilemma: should I pursue the second Master’s program and take advantage of the scholarship, or should I commit to the long-term challenge of a PhD? Or shall I first do the second Master‘s and then decide whether I still want to do a phd?
What are good reasons to go for a phd? What qualities do I need to succeed in a phd?

Hello!
I ordered two shirts and two pairs of BDG Utility Work Jeans because I absolutely LOVED the fit of my first pair. Both pairs shipped separately. The first pair arrived on Thursday night. I opened the package on Friday to see that there was a security sensor left on the pants. I’m assuming it was allocated from a store, and the store forgot to take the tag off. I opened a request to have them replaced on that same day. It is now Wednesday and I still haven’t gotten a response. The closest UO to me is about an hour drive. I’m off tomorrow, so I was considering just going to the store and having them remove it. Is this an option for me? I really really want to keep the pants and I don’t think UO would be able to give me a replacement because they’re now marked as sold out in my size. Is there also a way to cancel the return request if I’m able to just go to the store tomorrow and have them remove it?

Hey all! I was gifted a used Breville barista express for Christmas by some very generous family members. It came pre dialed with a bag of lavazza beans they used to use. I’ve since ran out of those and grabbed a bag of beans from a local coffee roaster.
I’ve got the settings on grind size 9. And for about a week it was making damn good espresso, like I was impressed with myself. The past 2 mornings, my pressure has shot way up and I’m not getting as much espresso out, it’s moving a LOT slower.
My usual was 19g in, getting 39-48 grams out for a double shot. I have not weighed it which I need to do I guess but I’m getting MAYBE 30 grams out now probably less. I even adjusted grind size back to 10 and that did not help.
I’m confused because with the new bag of beans from the local roaster, it took 2 mornings to dial in then I had 6-8 days of impressively good espresso for a beginner, imo. lol. And now it’s too much pressure and not getting enough espresso out. What are my options? Thanks for any and all advice like I said I’m a real beginner

On the visa application, it is asking me to declare nationalities and Taiwan is not an option. What exactly should I do to apply for a visa (or Mainland Travel Document?) to China? Thank you. I'm making a build which I've played around with before; a 1 sorcerer (draconic), and at least 5 warlock for pact of the blade. It aims to build acuity with fire attacks (flawed/regular helldusk, and firebolt) and use this to cast higher level control spells. It'd be wearing the potent robe as well, and using the ring of arcane synergy to add AS on cantrip casts.
I had intended to build this up as a 1 sorc/11 warlock, but I'm wondering if I might be better served adding something else after warlock 5 as this is six levels of something else. I'm not particularly keen to add more sorcerer, I'm not a big metamagic user, and the build is meant to be spell slot light (the 1/11 build would have 2 level 1 and 3 level 5 slots only) while focusing on consistent cantrip casting.
I'm looking for opinions about those latter 6 levels, and whether anyone thinks that there's a class which might complement a build like this?
