Got home from work to find the hdmi port snapped and bent on my Series X. Repair shop told me repair is risky and expensive and that I’m better off with a new one. I’m willing to spend 600-700$ on a replace with similar performance. Should I just buy another one or delve into PC gaming?

I stopped restricting and went back to eating normally but I find myself overeating so I try to purge after I eat a lot bc I feel a little not too goodddd.... idk what to do thooo it this badddd? I'm like forcing myself to throwup and idk... I mean it works kinda but not for long I can't throwup a lot b4 I'm not able to anymore why is it so harddd but I try not to go super hard on myself snd try hard to tho I still try thoo... ikkk it's baddd but I've only like ifk once or twice this week since I last saw my therapist and I don't find this as a problem but at the same time I also find myself or rather see myself as overweight ykk so tbh idk bc like well it's hard to explainnnn - I try my best not to purge tho and then I feel so badddd and see myself as overweight, tho maybe once or twice but I cant throw up a lott
and last week my therapist asked me what happened, why i suddenly started restricting and purging as we were working on my future narrative b4 and talking abt ending thereapy and i said idk ikkk i couldnt get myself to telll her thooooo.... and she asked if it’s bc I don’t wanna end therapy and I said idkkk… and now I feel bad for ever feeling like she wasn’t supporting me bc now that I think back to our convo last wed she was rly nice abt it…. but really the only reason I stopped restricting and went back to eating normal bc i thought that since my therapist is ignoring me and unsupporting me that i cant keep this up forever....
idk I just feel ugh so awful and bad for this what do I doo? and literally my grades have been dropping ive an f in english now and i cant let my grades go down esp since im in 12thhh and I don't wanna ruin my good grades its As and Bs well now it's D and F ughhh i havent been able to focus in class and at home since we got back from winter break… it’s gotten somewhat better this week and since i saw my therapist last week bc i was like i need to do smth i cant let myself be constantly doing badly… but idkkk… i just still always feel so awfullll…. and idk….. how do i tell her?? ughhh gosh i need her so badly but then um im thinking of skipping this topic w her next week ughhh i wont see her till next wed the 29th….

Cooling Question. CPU running very hot. Hello, Ive recently built a new pc. These are the specs im running.

Currently I am using my rtx 3080 until the 5090 becomes available for purchase.
Im stuck on CPU temperatures. Its running idol very hot. and under even basic gaming workloads its getting into the high 80s to low 90s Celcius.
Here is a hardware Monitor screenshot after about 20 min of it being on.

I replaced the thermal paste with a new higher performance kind. It dropped the average by around 3-4C but its not nearly as significant as I had hoped. Is it possible that the pump is bad?

The Book of Merlyn went unpublished within the lifetime of author T. H. White ; it was first published in 1977 through the University of Texas Press. The text itself was unaltered, but the publication added a prologue and illustrations. Does the manuscript text fall under "95 years from first publication" (as it's published form is technically a work for hire), or "life of author + 70 years"? Former makes it PD in 2073, latter makes it PD in 2035 (White died in 1964). Neither feels entirely right, so I'm unsure which way this works.

Me candidatei pra uma vaga de TI, a empresa entrou em contato dizendo para mim ir fazer uma DINÂMICA, que não acho faz mt sentido pra trabalhar com suporte técnico mas blz.
Falei que não estava disponível pois atualmente estou trabalhando e listei os dias e horários em que eu estava disponível.
Eles simplesmente agradeceram o "retorno" e falaram que vão seguir com outros candidatos.
A empresa vai literalmente perder bons curriculos de pessoas com experiência boa só porque não puderam ir fazer dinâmica presencialmente.
Acho bizzaro isso, acredito que entrevista de emprego hoje em dia deveria ser tudo remoto, ainda mais pra área de TI, salvo se for uma área que tenha contato direto com cliente, ou alguma prova específica da área

2025.01.22 19:24 AllenHarrow I've Completed the writing, but need money to pay artists form here. What should I do?

I have fully written out two volumes of my comic, but I draw too slowly to be able to draw the comic myself (I have already tried once, and it took me almost a whole year just to make 10 pages that are inked with flat coloring, and I plan to have over 200 pages just for volume 1), and decided that it would be more practical to stick primarily to writing and hire 2 or 3 artists to help draw for me.
I am brand new to the scene with very little out-of-pocket money to spend, and a following of not even 60 people all together. What are the next steps I should take from here? If you have any further questions, I would be more than happy to answer! Thanks in advance!
