2025.01.22 19:23 JumpLow4814 Need advice how to get cash ASAP to pay rent.

In short, I had very little income last year, meaning my business had almost zero sales, had a 7k loan in september and made 9K in oct - nov doing a few days project, now all money has run out, need to find something asap to pay rent and buy food.
Our general expenses are down to as little as possible, we now spend around £10 a day total for the two of us which is absolutely crazy, I buy half the food or less than normally and no extras at all.
How do I get cash asap? I am being refused for any type of credit, filled a hundred application, no business loans either.
Context : rent and bills is around 2K a month, normally have another 2.5K repaying loans and credit cards which I can't afford for months now and normally we'd need 1.5K for food, at the moment have maybe £2,000 left total but not paid rent in 2 month.

2025.01.22 19:23 Shmexy I'll start by saying I love this game.. but how on earth do i get more than my ~7 colonists in my dinky little village?

Having a blast so far, but it feels like I'm still living in the first wood cabin you make in Minecraft.
I've probably researched too much - got all the way to the Fabricator because I couldn't find components ANYWHERE. Got my frist grow-op, mostly rice to feed my 50 animals (mostly ducks, holy hell they multiply) with kibble thru the winter.
I started up a drug lab too, and when i'm food rich i swap that grow room to Psychite and Smokeleaf and just deal that shit to the two neighboring villages. Do they get addicted? Can I up the price?
I have a couple freezers, a couple geo-thermal generators and solar (for the plants sun lamps).
Do you explore and take over other squares to expand? Do you raid other villages and enslave their people? I only have one guy that can aim a gun, the rest can't hit shit.
TLDR: Very fun, but I feel like I've cornered myself into a farming simulator at my current village progress and have no idea what to do from here

I'm upset I am usually the one who's against riding the topics for multiple posts, but like, this is different. I pre-farmed so many coins for Jeff's release. I made sure to buy Nina day one after the skin got revealed. It was the most exciting night ever when i saw how it looked like. Genuinely an amazing design and the model did not dissapoint at all, better then the original even...
And then it call came falling down. I am a big fan of Nina. I studied the entire lore of Jeff, Nina, Jane and everyone like that. I reread them all last night, barely being able to wait untill Friday, and now you do this to me? Why? Just why? Why did you listen to the absolute minority and decided to dissapoint all the fans, people who were excited for this? You already have a track record of not meeting expectations, and now this? You closed off the chats on Discord server because people were "shitting the devs" but then pull the double skin removal for Jeff? There are reasons people are upset, and rightfully so.
You showed the model, did a voice over, made animations, programmed the skin in the game, let people play it and record gameplay, and then you remove it a day before the release, because some dumb fucks on the internet got horny, which is not only not surprising, but should be treated as an everyday regular thing on the internet? Blade, when i catch you Blade...I am literally so dissapointed rn, as a big ass Nina fan. It actually hurts in my chest to write this post, and i'm not sure i will even main Jeff as much as i said i would. Because of this. I don't even want to joing the Discord server anymore, i don't want to do anything. This is the pinnacle of BladeNinja's terrible decision making at it's finest. Because of the small vocal amount of people, you removed something thousands were excited for.

In mid December I shorted a number of separate 100 lots of QUBT as it was rising from the 7's all the way to 25+ (over the course of 2 trading days). A day later the stock fell about 40% to the mid teens and I took that opportunity to cover 2/3rd's of the position. Unfortunately I did not choose last in first out, so my covers were all at losses and generated significant wash sale losses.
Fast forward to January and the stock fell back to the $6-$7 range, which gave me the opportunity to cover the rest of the position at an overall gain.
My question is, in this specific example, do the wash sale loss figures really matter since the overall position ended up with a gain? I'd appreciate some feedback on this, thank you!
