Newly inherited jewelry collection My grandmother passed away in October. I asked for 2 pieces of her signature jewelry and to my surprise, my aunt and uncle not only gifted me the two small brooches I requested (I want to frame them, my grandmother wore them daily) but also, what we think is my grandmother’s mother’s collection, that my grandma just kept in safe keeping and never wore. My guess is that a lot of this stuff is from 1930s Manhattan, NY. A lot of it is marked 14K, some of the engravings are too small to be sure of what they say.
I will keep a lot of it intact but am also somewhat interested in reworking some of these pieces into wedding jewelry for my husband and I.
Interested to know what more experienced or informed professionals or hobbyists might think of this collection.
The first two pieces photographed are both watches.
The box with the gold watch with floral flairs is marked Tiffany & Co (the box is labeled) and it appears to be its original box.
I am interested in learning more about the seemingly turquoise Snake set.
The thick gold bracelet with African mask design on it is not visibly engraved but also does not react to a magnet whatsoever.
This is not the entire collection but more so the pieces I’m most interested in knowing more about.

Hey guys,
Electricity is quite expensive in Europe, so I was thinking of ways to use less of it. One idea was to replace the PSU that I am using now. My system now is:

I read some posts that these high wattage PSUs aren't very efficient when used with such a small sustained load, so I figured I would replace it.
I would welcome any suggestions or tips in this matter, thank you : )

2025.01.22 20:41 CaptMalcolm0514 Did One D&D un-weaponize nets?

I see a lot of posts here describing nets as ranged weapons using the 5E rules. Am I wrong in thinking they’re not weapons AT ALL anymore under One D&D?
The Net from 5E rules, ‘Special Weapons’ was listed as a Martial Ranged Weapon that “when you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to attack with a net, you can make only one attack regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make.” Feats that affected weapon use applied, as per Jeremy Crawford on several occasions.
But, under One D&D, they have been removed from the weapons lists and are included under Adventuring Gear, there’s no proficiencies/properties/Mastery for them, and inflict no damage—only a status condition. Even the effect of the net on multiple attacks per round changed: “When you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with throwing a Net.”
Am I reading that right?

Physical Silver:
It is still our focus to promote physical silver ownership.
Primary Silver:
Although not many primary producers of silver exist, companies that mine silver specifically and those that are attempting to drill and discover new sources are very relevant to the silver supply.
Byproduct Silver:
The bulk of silver produced today is from by production of other mining operations. About 30% of silver produced globally comes as a byproduct of lead and zinc mining and to a lesser extent, copper. News related to these commodities is relevant to the silver market and will be allowed.
Digital Representations:
Content from commodity backed cryptocurrency is allowed, but ONLY if backed by physical silver held in audited depositories.
X/Twitter Content:
We will not participate in the Reddit boycott of X/Twitter; however, Sub Guidelines & Reddit's content policy still applies for any linked, screenshotted or embedded content.
Politics:
Both domestic and geo-political policy changes and events affect silver. We want to encourage the community to post what is relevant to the economy and finance, as well as news about sound money policies.
The majority of the community is North America based, but will not discourage relevant news from abroad. News regarding Policy and government led initiatives that could and will affect this market is also important content.
Please continue to avoid social issues. Posts that have divisive content will continue to be removed. It should come to no surprise from this community that our love for physical shiny private ownership attracts the ire of special interests that would rather see us sell our stacks than continue to hold.
