2025.01.22 20:50 DayVessel469459 Anyone else just hate how they talk about James Cameron’s avatar in the show?
They talk about it like they watched it through clips on YouTube or something. For example the line “he dressed up as avatar for Halloween” avatar is not one character in the movie, what he was talking about were the Na’vi. I get that the first avatar had a rather forgettable story but still you should remember something like that from the movie.
Also they refer to the ikran as birds, which is fair enough, but they say they use their ponytails to have sex. No they don’t, they have genitalia down there, the ponytail connection thing is just to bond with their partner or connect with their ikran.
I’m probably complaining too much about nothing but it does bother me since avatar is one of my favorite movies.

I just got a new boiler fitted in my house. I had the boiler relocated and now the flue exits up through the attic. The roofer ensured me that it is water tight, is it normal to see this much daylight around where the flue goes through the roof?

my parents paid for it so i shouldn't feel so bad but i do. i got a degree in communications and it has proved to be nothing but a huge waste of time with no lasting connections from it. i legitmately feel like i learned absolutely nothing and 3 years later i have not worked a single job related to my degree. when i was undeclared and wanted to drop out i wish my parents would have just let me because maybe i could have figured out what i wanted to do instead of just picking the easy option and suffering later. 4 years down the drain with nothing but negative memories holding me from ever going back. do not make the same mistake i did, if you are undeclared you are 100% better off working a real job for a few years instead of wasting your time at college. and don't do communications you won't learn anything useful. i'm not saying every degree is useless but that one is.

 | My VFT started having black traps about a month ago. I thought it was normal, so I left it as it is until recently when I started seeing the same black dead traps growing mold on it, so I cut them off. Now, I'm having trouble with my traps turning outwards, as well as the stems starting to get droopy. I read somewhere that it is due to dehydration, but I'm not sure. I have to note that I have had this plant for about 4 months now, and it never caught anything. It's cold in my country right now so I have to keep it indoors.
