Hello, I came into a small amount of manganese blue genuine pigment from the 80’s. I’ve made lots of oil paint but have never been happy with the results. The texture is never quite how I want it. I really don’t want to waste this manganese blue and want to make sure what I grind is excellent and exactly how the pigment should behave. Does it require any stabilizers or wax? Anything specific I need to watch out for?

I have been trying to commission into the Army for a little less than 2 years now, and it looks like I will finally be able to commission in April. However, I’ve gotten a little older, and while my husband has been patient with me and my desire to serve, he would like for us to start trying shortly after OCS.
Ofc, in a perfect world I would like to get comfortable on the job (I’ll be joining as a JAG, but I’m sure I’d still need some on the job training), how badly would that look and be if I were to become pregnant shortly after getting to an installation?

BLUF: Who pays for a reserve component members entitlements? (specifically BAH)
So, Basically how do i sell this to the OPS CPT?
I am a National guardsmen, who currently lives in a higher COLA than the schoolhouse.
Schoolhouse bah w dep = 1500
my BAH = 4000
The schoolhouse tells me, i have to PCS; thats cool. I inform them of the (AR 637-1, Chapter 7-20) Secretarial BAH policy, and how i would like to get BAH from my HOR. They said they would have to talk to the S1, because well thats more money
as an added bonus, this new ALARACT came out (ALARACT 058/2024) That basically sums up to, IF SM gets secretarial BAH waiver, and cannot be in barracks, he will get HOR & PDS BAH ( it makes sense, because we are paying "rent" for 2 different locations)
So basically, as a schoolhouse, is this coming out of your pocket?

So i moved out from my apartment but when i was cleaning the room, i found black mold spot on one patch of tatami floor, that's on me, no doubt with that, the reason why it's there because i fill the room with foam floor to avoid damage to the whole room's tatami but the mold is there because i place a small fridge on that spot and the mold is there might be water seeping through the gap between the foam piece, and because i thought only the foam is enough so that happened, so i was worried because idk if the owner gonna charge me for only that patch or they'll gonna charge me to pay for the whole room replacement, so i hope someone can give me advice regard this situation. I live in Kobe.

2025.01.22 23:55 Joel_Boyens When the average person expects "contemporary," just how present day are we talking about?
Hey guys/gals/otherwise, how's everyone going? Great, I'm just going to assume great because I'm doing pretty great myself. So I have this simple question, just how far can you push the limits on what's considered contemporary?
Because right now I'm working on a short story. And I want to have certain parts of it take maybe like, 5 years in the future at most. And I really want to include a lot of these medical advancements we're seeing being developed in our world right now. Is it so unrealistic to say we could be growing and reattaching limbs to people's bodies in 5 years? Well, I don't think so! So I guess that's my question. Is with something like that, would that still be considered contemporary or does that automatically nix it from that category as soon as it ventures anywhere into the future?
PS: Please don't tell me "you can write your story your own way." That's not my point, what is my point is I WANT to write an explicitly contemporary story. I don't care what people think of my writing and stories or not. I just want to know people's opinions on what they think is contemporary or not.

Hi all, I want to preface this by saying I am not asking for veterinary advice. I am working with a vet on this but have received a quote that works out to be well over $1,000 which is a bit over budget.
Let me try my best to explain a lot in a short amount of time, I have a cat who has been kinda sick almost her whole life. A friend owned her before me and I was told that she was around 6 years old. Additionally she had survived FIP when she was younger, and as a result was a bit more delicate than other kitties. She also had bladder stones about six months ago that we had to get surgery for. The past few years she has been suffering from debilitating allergies, and we were finally able to get her on atopica which really helped. Unfortunately her appetite slowly started to go down, until we had to intervene. She had lost a lot of weight now and is barely eating. At first the vet would not provide an appetite stimulant, but we stopped giving the atopica in case that was the cause. The vet has now recommended that we get an x ray and abdominal ultrasound, and has also now agreed to provide the appetite stimulant (transdermal) in the meantime. This vet also finally revealed to us that she believes this cat is over 6 years old and is likely around 12 years old.
The issue here is that the total is over $1,600 dollars and I have spent so much money the past few years on her. My vet said we do not have to do everything at once, so I am thinking of trying to start with the appetite stimulant for a few days to see what happens, and am interested in trying to start with either the x ray or abdominal ultrasound, but am not sure if one of those more often reveals an issue over the other. The vet really didn’t have a recommendation for me, but I’m trying to optimize my chance of maybe finding this issue without needing to spend over a months worth of rent in one sitting. So I am just trying to gauge what other people in similar situations have experienced. Just to be clear here I am following my vet’s advice, but just looking for additional insight to help further guide me here.
Has anyone had cats where something similar happened, did you find success with either an appetite stimulant, x ray, or abdominal ultrasound? Is there anything you wish you had done differently when trying to help your cat to eat? (Please note there are alot of other details here I am leaving out to help with the length here regarding what we have tried to get her to eat, and how we are currently trying to get something into her system, etc).

Let me make this short and sweet: I used my old phone (Android) for a lot of time. Then I switched to an iPhone about 2yrs ago. I kept getting messages from Contacts (which I imported to the new phone) but not getting the whole chat imported, even tho I completely transferred them when setting up my iPhone. To see the earlier mesasges, I logged out of my iPhone an into my Android phone and realised that there were entire chats with people, whose contacts did not transfer. The issue: I kept getting messages from contacts on my iPhone on the old phone, thus mixing the chats up completely and me overseeing quite important messages from time to time.
Now I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to sync those chats and messages between my phones or at least import/transfewhatever those onto my iPhone, without having to reset it?
I really feel like transferring/syncing chats shouldn't be this hard and/or dependent on third-party apps.
Anyways I wanna thank everyone giving me anything helpful (or at least trying) a big thanks, and please don't hesitate to ask me questions that would help you help me!
TLDR: using Whatsapp on 2 phones paralelly caused chats missing on either phone, looking for a way to un-clusterfuck the mess.
