H(21), atualmente trabalhando no Mc Donald's, tirando meus 2k limpo e 1100 indo direto pra minha casa. Enfim, só no último mês abri o olho pra vida e vi que preciso estudar, arranjar um trampo melhor e seguir em frente.
Moro em Americana, próximo de Campinas - uma ótima cidade para emprego e faculdade - e me surgiu uma oportunidade de morar próximo da minha mãe em uma boa casinha, mas em Araras. Lá pra casa vai apenas 600 reais e, colocando na mesma realidade, me sobraria aí um salário mínimo livre (sem contar alimentação).
Eu não sei o que eu faço, já que Araras parece " inferior " em alguns quesitos em relação a Americana, com número menor em praticamente tudo. Ah, meu padrasto tentaria me colocar na fábrica da Nestlé, o que eu confesso que não faço ideia se é bom ou não.
Sobre morar próximo a minha mãe, é legal e tudo mais, mas eu estou há 2 anos morando nessa situação e consegui me adaptar, sempre me virei. Portanto, tirando a questão do amor, não tem nada muito grandioso, só um contato mais próximo.
Essa indecisão tá me ferrando mentalmente... Se vocês vivessem essa realidade, aceitariam?

I recently exchanged emails with my landlord about my lease renewal. He informed me that, under Quebec law, tenants must notify their landlord of non-renewal between 3 to 6 months before the lease ends. Since my lease ends on March 31, 2025, he claims that I should have informed him by December 31, 2024. Because I sent my notice after that date, he says the lease was automatically renewed until March 31, 2026, and that I remain responsible for the rent unless a new tenant is found.
The issue is that the rent increase notification was only sent to me on January 16, 2025. I responded the same day, informing him that I would be moving out. Now, he is saying that I’m responsible for next year’s rent because I didn’t provide notice before January 16, even though my lease doesn’t end until March 31. However, I never agreed to renew after the rent increase—I informed him immediately that I wasn’t staying.
On top of that, throughout my tenancy, there were multiple unresolved issues: amenities that were promised at move-in were never delivered, I spent over a month without Wi-Fi due to a bad installation, the washer and dryer were unusable for an entire winter month, and exposed electrical cables took months to be addressed. Despite these problems, rent was still increased after the first year, and I didn’t raise complaints at that time.
Considering all of this, I find it unfair that he’s insisting the lease was renewed automatically when I clearly stated my intention to leave as soon as the rent increase was communicated. I’m open to discussing a fair resolution, but I want to clarify: Am I actually responsible for next year’s rent?

For those who raised or want to raise funds for your business, what do you need it for? Can you explain your situation or limitations where you knew you needed money?
I'm asking because I think my own personal experience has skewed my understanding of things. I have been in SaaS for like 15 years across 3 companies in sales, product, operations, etc - the whole process of dreaming up something brand new and bringing it to market. Two companies were successful, one was a colossal failure.
The two that were successful didn't get any funding and were mostly just built from the ground up with sweat equity from the founders. They had shitty products at first, and no marketing, but they would invest in these things as revenue started to come in.
The one big failure raised $750K in a seed round, I forget how much for Series A and then another $10M in Series B. There were 4 founders, none of them were technical people. As far as I know they sort of skipped the whole MVP stage and went all in on this over the top perfectly functioning and expertly designed application. But after 5 years since launching I've still never seen any proof of concept, there is no example of a customer success story at all. Meanwhile they hired 50 people and it all seemed like a bunch of busy work - 5 customer success people with no real customers, 2 "researchers", 3 graphic designers, 1 French translator, a copy person who just writes words, probably 5 video editors, 5 people in marketing, 5 in sales, a QA person, 2 project managers... it goes on and on. My point is there is no business and I am positive they didn't need a fraction of those people... so why would people go raise that kind of money in the first place?
And now I'm starting my own thing with two other guys using proper methodology for product design and development (after a MVP and proving the concept in the market with paying customers) and this costs very little to get off the ground. I'm not sure why we would need money right now, but maybe there is a reason why we should want it.

Hi, I’m lori-keet, the head mod of the sub. I am writing this because given recent political events happening in the USA, some members of our small community may feel unsafe. I want to explain some of the subreddit’s past actions and history to clear up any confusion that this is a safe place for queer people to exist.
A couple years ago my friends and fellow mods from aithesomniumfiles wanted to help moderate this subreddit because at the time it was mostly unmoderated and spoilers were galore. However, when I first got added to the mod team, I saw that the head mod at the time had been a little bit active. This struck me as strange because they were otherwise radio silent.
I checked on their activity and the few recent actions they took had little to nothing to do with Zero Escape itself. The audit log said they removed a pro-LGBTQ+ post, removed a comment calling out someone’s blatantly homophobic comment, and programmed AutoMod remove any post with “non binary, nb, trans, transmasc, transbian,” etc in it. (Side note, this was really fucking stupid lmao because there are many words in the English language that have the letters “nb” in them but I digress). The audit log only goes back a certain number of months so there was definitely more this mod did, but I could not see it. Thankfully after some boring reddit bureaucracy, that head mod is loooong gone.
I am writing this because I wanted to make it clear that in spite of the sub’s former mod team’s actions, we do not condone bigotry. All LGBTQ+ people are welcome here. Though the subreddit’s former mods may have taken a stance for bigotry, the current mod team does not. LGBTQ+ people are welcome here and that is not changing anytime soon. Yes, trans people, enbys, and GNC people included of course. Anyone who disagrees is not welcome here, period.
If you see any hate speech or homophobia/transphobia anywhere, report it because we are all active and that shit will be removed in a few hours at most. 💜
Thanks for bearing with me through this post being mostly unrelated to Zero Escape itself. I know our community is very small and the series may not even get any more entries. But I wanted to assure users that we are active (in fact, way more active than we need to be for a community of this size haha), and you are safe. Thank you

2025.01.22 21:58 Dingo_19 Horde Mode on Trueborn
Is it just me, or is this crazy difficult? I finished my first run on Expert without too much trouble, but I rarely seem to get past Wave 2 in Horde mode. (Light or Medium, that's all I have so far - I've just got the Mad Dog on Turtle Bay)
If it was a mission, I'd try to back up and use range, but between fast enemies, complex terrain, and Leopards landing 200m away, that's not much of an option.
FWIW, my weapon upgrade priorities so far this run are Pulse Lasers, UACs, PPCs, and LRMs. I know ER Lasers dominate, but I benched them this time since they were heavily used in my last run. Other noteworthy constraints are HOTAS, no auto-aim, classic controls (not FPS), and cockpit view.
Any tips?
