I recently purchased a 2story building in the downtown area of a small town in the Northern United States. There feral flock that lives on/in the building. We took off the balconies and now the poor things cling to windows and the remaining doors(screwed shut)
I was thinking about building an aviary/nest area. we gutted the upstairs and it is going to sit that way for a few years. I figured we could build in on the 2nd floor using an old window as the entrance point. I was also thinking that some fake eggs would help keep the population in check.
Do you think this would be ok? Do I have to worry about transmissible diseases? TIA

I (22M) have been close friends with "Claire" (25F) since mid-2022. We met while training as pro wrestlers and quickly became best friends due to our shared interests and experiences. She’s been someone I trusted deeply, especially during difficult times.
In late 2023, I went through one of the worst depressive spells I’ve ever had. I felt like nothing I did was ever enough, and it left me feeling isolated. I reached out to Claire, and she’d send me these long, reassuring messages about how she’d always be there for me and how I wasn’t alone. But after that, she’d ghost me—ignoring calls or taking days to respond. This became a pattern: she’d say all the right things but wouldn’t follow through when I needed her.
By early 2024, I decided to distance myself for a while. I wanted to focus on standing on my own two feet rather than relying on her, especially since she seemed so inconsistent. After a few months, I felt more stable, and we reconnected. Things seemed normal again, and I was hopeful that we’d moved past the rough patch.
However, late last year, I hit another low point—a combination of worsening depression and sudden medical complications. I tried reaching out to Claire again, and the same pattern repeated: she’d send a long message promising support but would then disappear for days or weeks. Meanwhile, I’d see her on social media hanging out with other friends, training, or doing other non-work things.
I’ve brought this up to her multiple times. Each time, she promises she’ll change, she’ll do better, and she understands how her actions have hurt me. But months go by, and nothing changes. I feel like I’m always the one initiating conversations or trying to fix things, and it’s exhausting. I’ve reached a point where I don’t know if I can keep doing this.

I have someone that I’m trying to reconcile my friendship with. I’ve known them for 10+ years and I recently made a FaceBook in an attempt to try and get back in touch with them.
We chatted for a few days, then they said they were going on a cruise. This person has extremely rich parents so I had absolutely no reason to doubt this. Unfortunately their last response was 5 days ago now. I asked “When do you get back?” as our last topic was about sharing travel photos.
This message has a light grey “empty” circle with check mark. I looked online that this means they blocked you? I’m genuinely so confused as the nature of our conversation was extremely upbeat and they seemed enthused to talk to me.
They said their cruise was in the Caymans and that the service was terrible for any context to someone that might have any ideas.

 | This has been an ongoing issue for a few weeks. We have a hot water boiler heating system, and once in a while I would notice that the pipes were making a loud banging noise. Now that we are in the middle of a cold spell, everytime the boiler is firing, the banging has become incessant. I bled air from the radiators, though I didn’t tip the system back up with water. Could that be a factor. I have many pictures of the setup, I’m assuming the big ol drum in the ceiling is the expansion tank, could that be part of the problem. Worth noting, the radiators near the front of the house get very hot, but the ones in the back aren’t getting hot. There's no lack of discussion on Djokovic's legacy on the sport in terms of records and statistics, but one thing I don't see discussed is his legacy on tennis technique and how the game is played technically at the highest level. In particular, his hardcourt slide is now something that every top player emulates. It's not just for show -- it has a clear benefit of allowing players to recover out of the slide rewarding them precious milliseconds to prepare for the next ball. Note that a player cannot execute this slide to the same extent on clay because of how much more slippery clay is than concrete. A core part of the hardcourt slide is that it allows the player to halt the slide by applying just a bit more pressure on the ground, which isn't something you can do on clay. On clay, the player very much has to calibrate their speed going into their slide so they don't overcommit and lose themselves time in the recovery. OTOH, with the hardcourt slide, they can commit 100% to exploding into their lateral movement because concrete allows them not only to brake and completely halt their momentum, but also to push off into the next shot.
I was watching Sinner v de Minaur last night and Sinner in particular slides into almost every other shot when he's pulled wide. IMO it's a big part of his success and why it's so hard to draw a weak ball from him by pulling him wide. It very much reminds me of peak Djokovic: he's a wall from the baseline because of how his quality of shot doesn't diminish in the slightest when pulled wide.
To pull off the hardcourt slide, the player needs to not only have leg strength, but also have excellent flexibility and balance. To slide, they need to be able to just the right amount of pressure with their outer leg during a large step in the opposite direction of their momentum. Being wide enough to pull this off requires great flexibility, and to be balanced while stretched requires immense strength. This emphasis on flexibility and balance are also a huge part of his legacy.
I think the tennis world really took note in his all-time-great 2015 season. The first 1:30 of this video has some great slow-motion analysis of his flexibility. You can tell that up to that point, the tennis world hadn't seen anything like it. Now, in the present, it's pretty common to see top players pulling this kind of thing off. Alcaraz and Sinner are particularly good at it, with Sinner having possibly the best balance/flexibility I've ever seen from a player. I always laugh to myself when either of them play Djokovic because it's likely that they'll hit a sliding DTL backhand winner, and I have to think Djokovic is thinking to himself "I invented that shot!". In the latter half of the 2015s I think you even saw Federer and Nadal start to implement the hardcourt slide because they saw how useful it was, especially in the twilight of their careers where they needed every milisecond they could get once their physical prowess was fading.
Can anyone think of other players that introduced new techniques and skills to the sport that everyone soon emulated? Strategy is one thing, but I'm really curious about technique in particular.

 | Hi! I stopped playing WuWa since 1.2, but my brother convinced me to come back because 2.0 was, according to him, way better than what I knew of the game. So I did come back, and I find myself struggling a bit with my current teams, so I need help to know what I should be working on. My favorite characters are : Danjin > Changli > Jinhsi. Point is, Danjin feels super weak, even I tried to give her the best echoes I could. My other teams aren't bad, Jinhsi + Zhezhi is overall doing well, and Changli is pretty strong, but I always feel like something's missing. Be it comfort wise, or efficiency wise.
