 | This is Charizard. She is 6 years old. She belongs to my daughter. Please be nice as my daughter is heartbroken and is a child. In November, we noticed Charizard had stuck shed in her eyes. We took her to the vet the following day. The vet said her humidity was low (we live in a four seasons climate, we struggle with humidity in the winter) He advised us to spray her with warm water 2 times a day, 10 sprays. We have kept up with that religiously. Since then, Charizard has not eaten. As of today, her hind end is extremely swollen, she cannot poop, and she is making what seems to be painful noises. Our vet is closed. They reopen at 9 am. I plan on rushing her first thing but we fear we're in for a long night :( Please, does anyone have insight on what's going on with my grand‐lizard? I just finished the 1.5 Special Episode and while I enjoyed most things about the story (eg. Belle gushing about and being a fan of Astra, Astra and Evelyn's relationship, the siblings being more open about their status as proxy after 1.4) there was one thing that made me feel disappointed/lied to about. That thing in particular was Astra Yao as a Cantonese singer. When I first saw the ZZZ trailer featuring her singing in Cantonese at the Game Awards I was really hyped about her as a Cantonese speaker that grew up listening to old canto pop songs and resolved to put her as number 1 priority to pull over Miyabi and Evelyn. This made me feel lied to when I realised that it was only the first teased/released song that was in Cantonese and the rest of the songs that followed (trailers and story) were in Mandarin. Even when the character demo came out and the song was in Mandarin I was still hoping that the majority and especially the story climax song would be sung in Cantonese. As a result, I felt baited to be excited about Astra as a Cantonese singer in what feels like a false promise/ marketing gimmick.
The only imperfect analogy I can think of is if they teased with the first two trailers a Catalan singer but the rest of the trailers and most of the story have the character sing in Spanish instead.
All in all while I enjoyed 1.5's story and am glad to have pulled Astra, I feel I would have been more excited/ less let down if they did not introduce Astra as a primarily Mandarin singer with the Cantonese coming as a surprise instead.

I am 13 and shortly after moving to the city I am rn in 2023 I've always been playing outside with the friends I made in school. Hooliganing around the neighborhood, playing football in the nearby mount, playing tag (my fav), racing (we're racists), hide and seek, etc. But there's these boys from high school 1st grade (10th grade in 'murica) who are also fwends and they said I am childish for still playing outside even tho I'm a teenager now. I’m currently a Junior in HS. I have a pretty good transcript, resume, all that, so I can probably get into a relatively competitive college for undergrad. I live in Washington State, so University of Washington is my main thinking. I’m not sure whether I should do Physics or Chemistry undergrad Major, or possibly majoring in one and minoring in the other. Are there better reasonable options for these majors out of state? Since 2020 and COVID changes to the way we consume entertainment means DVD releases come after items are available for streaming. Now I'm seeing it even with big theater releases - they will be available on a streaming service WAY before the DVD is released. A patron today put a request in for Wicked which I ordered it over a month ago. They don't understand the delay when it's available for rent via streaming.
I have a hold on Onyx Storm and I was just checking the status as we ordered four copies and I'm second on the hold list. Come to find out Ingram hasn't even SHIPPED them yet. That's so wild to me - I know Ingram has been slow but we ordered these books months ago. It feels a little intentional, like delays to new releases are happening specifically to libraries to increase wait times so people are more likely to purchase the materials. Am I just being frustrated because I want my hold or are other libraries seeing this too?
