In case you're confused, the "rex" in ARK is actually a T dom, short for Tyrannosaurus dominum, and is far larger than a Tyrannosaurus rex.

My loans were previously enrolled in the SAVE plan.
In August of 2024 I received a letter from my loan server (ED Financial) that states: On July 18, 2024, a federal court issued a stay preventing the Department of Education (ED) from operating the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan. As a result of this ruling, ED has directed Edfinancial Services to put your account into a forbearance. You can find more information at studentaid.gov/saveaction. What does this mean for me? While you are in this forbearance no payment is required on your account and your interest rate will be set to 0%. This means no interest will accrue while you are in the forbearance.”
Seems pretty clear to me. And on the current Student.aid.gov website it states that interest is NOT accruing. https://studentaid.gov/announcements-events/save-court-actions
Yet today, I discovered my interest has been accruing this whole time. I received a tax document that thousands of dollars have accrued in 2024. My balance is higher than it was a few weeks ago. There is not even a way to make a monthly payment with the payment plan in forbearance.
We have all been lied to by the Department of Education. Spreading the awareness. Anything we can do? Contact local US Congressman?

Hi everyone! I’m posting this as someone who graduated college last month with my bachelors in math and am wanting some guidance on next steps. I graduated from a super prestigious college and graduated with honors! I also earned my 8-12th grade teaching cert. in my state (KY).
I’m making this post, as I am wanting to relocate from Kentucky to a large city; Chicago is my current goal! I was originally hoping teaching there would be feasible, and I’m now not sure making the near cross-country move on a teacher salary, even a Chicagoan one, is feasible.
I’m asking if there’s ideas for other careers I could look into with my math degree. I would love to have something remote, due to the convenience of that, but am willing for anything. I love teaching so much, but am wanting something safer and something where I can exhibit my math skills more!
I just applied to 6 different PhD math programs for fall 2025 kinda all over the country, but fear due to the high competition right now, that making a backup plan would be best. Acquiring my PhD in math is my dream, though, so wish me luck!
Please give me some ideas, guidance, or advice :) im posting this here, as i am hopeful that there’s many more like me

I don’t know if anyone is using this subreddit but I thought I’d give it a try since Google has given me no answers.
Today I was playing crazy 8s with 4 people and we had a huge debate, here’s what happened. Player A played a 2, Player B picked up two and placed a 2. Player C picked up 4 but the pile didn’t have enough so we reshuffle and player C got his remaining. Then player C played another 2. Would player D then pickup 6 since there’s been a total of three 2s played and they would remain that way if the deck didn’t need to be re shuffled, or would player D only pick up 4 because there’s only two 2s that are seen on the deck.
Hope this makes sense, please help settle a debate or attach reliable links to prove points!

For context, I’m taking Antibiotics Discovery Lab this year as an undergraduate research experience in my Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Veterinary program. Our PI said she would order any substance from any country that we are curious about testing as an antibiotic that works against Salmonella. My background is in Neuroscience so I’m starting from scratch reading research articles to come up with ideas.  | I recently bought an iPad 10th Gen 64gb for $250 despite all the negative reviews because it was such a good deal. I am mainly using it for note-taking with a third party stylus and casual use. So far I have been really happy with this iPad for the most part. My biggest gripes with it is the non-laminated display and lack of apple intelligence. I am slowly getting used to the display but the lack of support for some features makes me nervous for future proofing. I found this deal for an iPad Air 5th Gen 64gb on this website called unclaimed bagged. I’ve never heard of this website before and I generally try to stay away from used products but this iPad is pretty much better in every way (except the portrait camera) for only $25 more. Is this website legit? Should I return my 10th Gen and get this instead?
