Hey all, Today my wife and I noticed that the furnace kicked off a few seconds after turning on. Couldn’t figure out a fix so we had a technician come out and diagnosed the problem as a frozen drain pipe. He didn’t have a heat gun on him so the heat is still not working. If I get a heat gun or use a hairdryer to try to thaw the outside pipe will that safely fix the problem? At least until we can get a condensation pump or something installed.

Hi everyone,
I’m facing an issue where I need to create a bootable USB drive to install macOS Yosemite on an older MacBook Air 2013. The reason I need Yosemite is that this Mac is too old to run the latest macOS versions, and I need it to be compatible with certain legacy software that only runs on Yosemite.
The problem is that the system I’m trying to create the bootable drive on is too new to allow me to run the “Install macOS Yosemite.app” directly. I’ve tried several methods to get the installation files onto an external drive, but because the macOS version on my system is too recent, I’m unable to extract or use the Yosemite installer properly.
Additionally, when I use the terminal to unpack the .dmg file with the command:
pkgutil --expand-full ~/Desktop/InstallMacOSX.pkg ~/Desktop/InstallMacOSX_FullExtracted
I only get three files in the extracted folder: 1. Distribution 2. InstallMacOSX.pkg 3. a folder named Resources.
Unfortunately, I never get the “Install macOS Yosemite.app” file, which I need. I’m hoping to either:
- Obtain a copy of the “Install macOS Yosemite.app,” or
- Learn how to correctly create a bootable USB with macOS Yosemite from a newer system without directly running the installer.

I know today's got cancelled for the snow. So they're going through Baytown and Beaumont tomorrow. But on their schedule on the Astros website, the only mention doing autographs at one location, and the other location is just "Join us for lunch at Chick-fil-A, hang out with Astros players and the Shooting Stars and have an opportunity to spin the prize wheel for a free prize!" So for anyone who's gone to one of these, are autograph opportunities kinda sparse? What are these like?

Hi! I'm a self employed financial advisor, team of 2. Our current CRM and task management software is being phased out, and I am now looking at alternatives.
My key focus is on task management, with tasks being linked to client accounts and logged for future tracking. Ideally has the ability to turn an email into a task by CCing the CRM.
Also tracking leads/opportunties/sales.
Having our new CRM track common processes and workflows would be ideal (investment account onboarding, annual review, etc.), with some degree of automation.
I have been playing around with Monday.com and Salesforce but can't seem to find one that provides that workflows checklist/sequence that I'm looking for. I feel like it must be available with Monday but can't figure it out?
I am in Canada, if that makes a difference.
Curious if anyone has feedback or suggestions :)

I’m thankful for everyone who has posted links via bluesky today. Quite honestly, the refusal to ban X posts and links is the worst thing these mods could think of. Allowing X posts makes you party to a Nazi and Nazi sympathizers. Breaking sports news can be found literally anywhere, and we don’t need X to give us that inflammation.
u/swampsparrow needs to be removed as a mod and banned from the sub or we can ban C links altogether.

My baby is two weeks old. He was born at 37 weeks via induction due to placenta slowing down with the blood flow. He's only little as far as weight and length. He is gaining weight and otherwise healthy. But I was want to thicken his formula even if it was half or a quarter scoop of formula added to what he has.
He has 1 scoop in 60mls. I want to do it so he can gain more weight. But I also saw that thickening it can help baby with acid reflux. (He spews a couple times a day after a bottle even tho we stop and burp at least 3 times but he just sculls it I need to buy slow flow tests)
So should I slightly thicken his formula? I'm a FTM and I have alot of experience with babies and raising them. But this is my first bio child.

This might not be the place for this post, but idk where to turn. I'm a second semester freshman from Chicago IL. I'm currently attending a community college, with plans to transfer to a 4 year university next year. My problem is that by every metric but the governments, I'm poor. My mom works as an LPN and makes about 80k a year. My father has a disability and doesn't file taxes since he's out of work. And while my mom makes a decent amount, that money goes to paying off credit cards, bills, and a mortgage. Leaving us with little to no money for anything. But, FAFSA totally fucked me(1894 for the 2025-2026) and my mom makes more then minimum of any free tuition programs. I don't know what to do, so I'm looking anywhere for some type of aid.
