2025.01.23 01:22 The-Amazing-Sock Base plate sliding/shooting off of magazine
Howdy there! Just wanted to post and see if anyone has had any similar issues and if so have any work around. I was at a range today and loading a magazine for my X Macro when the base plate for my magazine shot off causing the spring, follower, ammo, and base plate to all come flying out. Upon further inspection, 2/3 of my 17 round mags come apart without pressing in the detent on the base plate. Quite literally just pushing it causes the base plate to slide off. I have been eye balling the radian base plates that released last year and wondering if that may prevent this from happening or if I just have defective mags. If anyone has had any similar experiences please reach out!

Hello, I have a completely noob question here, I am buying my first ever board next week but there is so much information online and it's all giving different answers so I would like people who have some experience to tell me their experiences in terms of sizes, I know a lot is preference but I need a bit of guidence of where to start.
I am 5ft 10inch and weigh 182lbs and male and I am due to go and try some boards sometime soon so what size range should I be looking at ? some places online say 154-158 but other places are saying to go for minimum 158. If it helps I mainly want to focus on freestyle (not just in the park but across the mountain using side hits and natural terrain) but I would also like the board to be able to hold an edge and go a bit quicker for steeper terrain.

I am writing in because I have been feeling very alone in my caregiver journey lately and finding it hard to connect with friends and close ones who don't understand my situation.
I am 28F - my mother raised me and my two sisters as a single mom and was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease 15 years ago. When I was 21, my sisters and I had to make the difficult decision to put my mother in an assisted living facility. She needed care and we were young, poor college kids who could not provide that care for her. 7 years later and she is still in assisted living and her health/cognitive function has been declining substantially. I live about an hour away from her and I visit her every 2-3weeks. I talk to her on the phone every single night. I manage all of her finances as well. I feel a tremendous crippling guilt day in and day out that I do not do enough for her - that I should be seeing her more or spending more time on the phone with her; no matter what I do it never feels enough. I feel intense resentment toward other family members (like her siblings) that don't provide any support to her. I am unable to confide in friends about my grief because I feel like nobody can understand.
I love my mom more than anything on this planet but I lay awake at night wondering how many more years this nightmare will last. I secretly wish that she could pass on and be at peace but I feel like a horrible person when I have these thoughts.
If anyone has experienced something similar and can share any words of encouragement, I would so greatly appreciate it. Thank you all - I am thinking of all of you going through the same struggles and wish I could give you all a big hug.

The weapon I create a specific joint with the body, it doesn't make sense to bag the back because in the game he defends a bag/chest on the ground (it's a 2D pixelated game by waves defending the middle of the map) I don't find anything too much and I didn't want something too saturated that is used in many games.

Again, not ALL, but too many. My mother is hardworking and just does her work, does not like to be involved in anything, just like to mind her own business. Yet she faces constant backlash from the Filipino group of middle aged ladies who work there with her. Them bossing her around to talking crap about her to straight up putting her down and acting like they are all so much better than her. She’s not the only one, my friends and I included also experienced bad things with the local ones here. In my first workplace, i always saw them forming their own group (which idc about) but it would consist of them shit talking on certain race (south asians) straight up calling a girl ugly hehe ha ha for NO REASON. Then at school, I would be in classes and they formed their own group with only them included, I remember I wanted to play volleyball with these group of new comers (Filipinos), they all came to the country the same time as I did, and I thought they we’re nice people, thinking that they’d also relate to being new here at school. But they left me out and avoided me like the plague. Not just me, other brown people too. They would be so happy to invite other Filipinos or white kids to play with them. I was one time also standing on the bus, alone, in the corner, and this Filipino lady looked at me like I was ruining her day by just standing there. ill note that I have no experienced bad behaviours from the Filipinos who grew up here and are more “western” minded. But the ones who usually came here and been here for more than 20 years or so aren’t like that. I have a few Filipino friends and they’re awesome. But why tf are so many of them are so rude, Im so sick of this, it hurts the most seeing my mom face those stupid snarky behaviours from them when she did nothing.
