2025.01.23 01:12 CFCsani Unpopular opinion: season 8 was destined to be a turning point
It might seem a bit stupid, but honestly, the storylines that were built up there were so so interesting.
Alan’s ponzi-scheme, Rose’s fake wedding, Charlie’s denial regarding Chelsea, Lindsay’s ex-husband stalking Alan, Herb and Judy’s daughter and horribly working marriage, Alan cheating on Lindsay with Melissa who probably found out, just to mention a couple of them.
If it wasn’t for Charlie’s lifestyle and behaviour, these stories would’ve been worked out well and I think the series would’ve turned into a more interesting and serious series, at least for a couple episodes. I was honestly curious about what was about to happen and shame it ended with Sheen getting fired and the writers dropping literally all the storylines.
On the other hand, it was a sit-com after all so the firing was probably a blessing even though and wouldn’t have made it through season 10 if Charlie stayed. It was always a funny series and the way it would’ve turned dark for a bit of time would’ve probably k!lled a part of the show.
What do you guys think?

The way that federal student loans are reported on my credit is that every semester I had a subsidized and an unsubsidized loan every semester. This means I have 18 loans (4 years undergrad and 4 semesters of unsub for my masters)
The interest rate is low on the unsub, but it is interest. With recent political events I'm skeptical of getting my PSLF forgiveness and wonder if I should pay off a few of the loans that are only 1500-2000 dollars. It would prevent them having interest, but I'm worried it would hurt my credit.
These are the only accounts I have that are more than a year old (they're anywhere between 9 and 5 years). I bought my car outright so no car loan, and I only got a credit card a year ago. If I paid these loans off, it would start to dramatically reduce my average credit age.
How much would this hurt my credit? Should I continue to make the super small payments on each (they're like 10 bucks a month each for most of them) just to have an older open account? I just got decent credit (720) and I will be looking to finance a car because at 260k I can't imagine my poor first clunker lasting too much longer. I need my credit to be good at that time.

Looking to make hand-painted invitations, but I need terra cotta-colored envelopes, and they are too expensive where I’ve looked. I also can’t find the exact color my client is looking for. I’m happy to make the envelopes myself if I can find the paper. Again, I’m trying to keep the cost down. I don’t mind tedious work. I plan to line the envelopes myself, anyway.
I’m wondering if anyone has a source to muted papers, if anyone has ever dyed their own paper, or if there is a source that will dye the paper.

I made a tarot card design and I want to transfer it on black leather to make a backpack. Thing is I don't know how to proceed.
I have never painted on leather so I don't know where to start. Also, I don't know the best course of actions for my specific case. I also have a vinyl cutter and I was thinking about making a decal, but I don't really know if that is possible.

2025.01.23 01:12 GenericName9786 Help with Intelligent Battery Sensor
I changed the battery. Now the engine won't start until the battery is registered. I saw on YouTube that if you disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor you can drive it to the shop (where I can have it registered) and save a tow.
A) Is that true?
B) I can't disconnect the IBS. It is the little blue connector. There is a tab somewhere, but I'm not sure where it is. Don't know what tool to use to press on the tab.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I enabled both new HEVC experimental features earlier today (HEVC Optimization and HEVC Video Encoding). Ever since, Plex CPU usage has been out of control. I have one user transcoding and I have video preview thumbnails being generated for one file and my CPU usage is at 97%. I understand the encoding feature, but what does the optimization feature do? And is the increase in CPU usage normal for either of these features?

 | My apartment was built new about 3 years ago. They have a key fob system to come in and out so I asked my husband to hide the keys somewhere because we only had one at the time. He ended up hiding them (on the ground!) under the meter socket (I believe that’s what it’s called) our apartment has 40 units so it’s a wall of about 40 of those. As I went to pick up the keys, i didn’t even make contact with the keys and all of a sudden i was electrocuted. Ended up with 3rd degree burns and had to be flown via helicopter to John’s Hopkins burn center and have special care because I was 9 months pregnant!
