My basement has a tenant in it and he just complained that the bathroom wasn't getting any water flow. We're currently in the midst of brutal cold snap (I live in Toronto) so I suspected frozen pipes. I went down to check and was able to get a bit of stream from the bathroom sink's facuet; which I just let run. I turn the shower on and the stream is indeed weak; so I let it run as well; after about 30 seconds the stream improves and hot water starts coming in no problem. Where it gets strange is when I turn off the sink facuet, the shower stream stops. It also won't turn back on unless the sink is on. This is definitely new behaviour and I'm quite certain no plumber configurations have been changed. What could this be?

 | Just got back from the range and Im delighted to report that I'm getting unusually good groups with this new barrel. Website states to expect groups of 1-1.5in at 25 yds (3.82 - 5.74 moa). I'm getting 0.381in, 0.147in, 0.237in, 0.254in 3-shot groups at 15yd benched, shooting S&B 150gr (avg of 1.62 moa). Build list: M&P 2.0 5" 9mm, Dovedot w/ tritium FS, Surefire X300U-B, Holosun 407K-X2-FDE, Stock trigger (with minor work done on it), S&W FPC 22rd Mags, shooting S&B 150gr subsonic 9mm, CGS Mod 9 FS. I'm very happy, to say the least, with the grouping, given the advertised precision of 1-1.5in at 25yd, and getting average spread of 0.255in at 15 yd (1.62 moa). If I did my math right, it's by far my most accurate handgun. Did I... A) just really lucky, B) completely boof the math, or C) is this normal for Apex Grade barrels? My wisdom teeth started bothering me a few months ago, so before the year ended I enrolled in a new dental insurance policy that would cover the surgery in 2025. After I found a plan that looked promising, I even called Delta Dental, spoke to a sales representative, and had them verbally confirm multiple times that the policy I was upgrading to had no waiting period for oral surgery. I wanted to confirm because I saw that it did have a 1 year waiting period for braces, which I don't need. They assured me over and over that the oral surgery coverage would start immediately. It was just orthodontic work that had a waiting period.
Well, I went to the oral surgeon for my consultation, and they told told me that I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE YEAR before my new insurance policy will cover the procedure because there is a waiting period for oral surgery. Either the sales representative didn't know what he was taking about when he assured me this would not happen, or he just blatantly lied to me on the recorded phone call.
I'm going to call them in the morning and go off because I would not have signed up for the more expensive plan had I known it wasn't going to cover anything that I need it to cover. All it did was raise my fucking deductible. I'm going to mail my bloody wisdom teeth to Delta Dental for this.

While accidents happen (like chemical spills), and politicians can't control the weather (although some think they can), the other issues affecting the city today are the direct result of lack of competent leadership.
The Halifax Examiner is reporting that NSP told Hfx Water about the planned outage, not once, but four times, and they were not prepared, nor did they preemptively advise the public. This isn't simply an inconvenience, this is seriously impacting peoples lives and their livelihoods. Surgeries cancelled! Business unable to open and pay their employees! This is completely unacceptable, yet we accept it, and not only that, we pay very high prices to HFX Water.
The other issue that could have been less intense today, was the traffic nightmare that overtook the city. My heart goes out to those who were waiting for a bus on this frigid day.
Again this issue could have been mitigated if we had leaders who dared to take risks. Dared to invest in transit, dared to see the immense benefits of allowing office workers to WFH (such as reducing traffic and carbon emissions), but here was a massive failure yet again. Will we ever have competent leaders who can take this city into the 21st century?!? Will we ever stop accepting it?

 | I'm stuck on how to make my solar panels more reflective in this scene, even when I position the camera to where I can see the sun bounce off into the camera lens, its just a dot. I want the entire panel to be reflective and bright, not just the small section when the sun shows up at.
