Hi, I wanted to buy some rose bushes (or any type of pretty thorny bush) to plant in front of my windows. I really want them to act as more of a break-in deterrent vs. being purely aesthetic. Please note, we have many other safety measures for the house, this is just an addition to those. We wouldn't rely on rose bushes to keep intruders out lol.
Anyway, what are some of the thorniest bushes you know that could survive in Seattle weather? Are there certain types of rose bushes that would be more thornier than others?
Ideally, the types we are looking for could be found at Lowe's or Home Depot in the Spring/Summer time. Thanks for any tips/advice!

Hello everyone! I love playing madden and learning about the game of football in general and i have some questions if anyone could help me. Mostly play cpu and just enjoy playing that way.
1) is there any way to know who my dline will be during dime packages? I assume in the specialists tab but i dont know how to know who goes where
2) what is the difference between 3-4 beacub?
3) I understand you CAN make defensive adjustments but i dont know why you would make them. For example if i pinch my dline am i not more easily beaten by an outside run? Are the defensive adjustments just more educated guesses?
4) in defensive adjustments what does guessing pass do?
5) does shading my zone matter? Or do they just play where their zone bubble is?
6) Do archetypes matter? Is a run support safety any different or does it give you a general idea what stats will be higher?

2025.01.23 03:25 NeonCyberpsycho Frozen pipes, no water when turning main back on
Last night I had found my kitchen sink not working, neither hot nor cold water. My bathroom sink, tub, and toilet all worked fine when I checked. It went down to -14 last night, so while I had opened all the faucets after finding the kitchen sink not working, I didn't want the pipe in there to burst. Checked with internet and a friend who used to do plumbing and all concluded I should turn off the main because I already had a frozen pipe.
Got home from work tonight, turned the main back on with all faucets open still. The water flowed for about a second and then stopped. Don't have any water coming out of any faucets or the toilet now. There's no leak thankfully as the water meter isn't moving at all.
I can't find any visibly frozen pipes, no frost buildup and no bulging pipe. Pipes are exposed copper by the looks of it.
I turned the water main back off for now. A few questions if you're willing to help.
The temps outside will rise to the mid 30s tomorrow and the day after, and about 40 in a couple days. Will this be a high enough temp to naturally thaw out the frozen pipe? I just can't afford a plumber right now or I would've already called one. If I have to call one I'll try to work out a payment plan or something if they're willing, though I doubt I'll find one willing to wait several weeks for me to make the first payment (rent and electric/gas coming due).
How high is the possibility that a pipe burst? There's no leaking but there's also now 0 water flow. After turning off the main last night I had all faucets open to drain the remaining water and flushed the toilet, so there shouldn't have been much water in there to freeze more.
