Almost 50 days in. Anyone else feel mentally drained by sunset? Like I said in my last post, I am starting to feel better overall. But, the anxiety still strikes hard at night because my mind is tired and thus less able to fight off the spiraling thoughts.
Also, I feel like I’m relying on my phone too much now? I mean I was already addicted to my phone but now it’s become my safety blanket instead of the Zyn. Why can’t I be fine with just existing? Always got to have something to cling onto 😅

  1. Academic Background: -Bachelor’s Degree: .Field: Medical Laboratory Science .GPA: 3.29/4.00 -Master’s Degree: .Field: Microbiology .GPA: 4.45/4.50
  2. Research Experience: -Research assistant since September 2023, till now. -3 years of research experience as a laboratory assistant. So total of 4.5+ of experience.
  3. Projects for publication:
    • My master thesis research is in the last stage of preparation for publication. -Worked on two master project as a research assistant, and one is under preparation for publication.
  4. Publications and Presentations: -3 Poster Presentation in domestic conference. -One publication as co-author.
  5. Honors and awards -Fully funded by the prestigious Global Korea Scholarship. -Awarded as one of the top five presentations among 100 participants from various South Korean universities.
  6. I have IELTS band 7.0.
In addition, I have received rejection from both University of Washington for PhD program in microbiology and University of Minnesota for MICaB program.

First of all I’m finally having my anatomy scan tomorrow and I’m so excited! I am 23 weeks and can’t believe only got 17 more weeks left! Being so close to having this little one I really want to do a natural birth. Mind you I will talk to my OB in February but I want to know ahead of time; has anyone been able to do natural birth despite a high BMI? I have no major medical concerns and passed all my tests but I’m listed as obese according to my BMI. I’m 25, 5’4” 184 pounds and always have had above average BMI but always have been active (athlete all my life) and even am in the military reserves where I pass my physical fitness test. I am working on lowering my weight but I already eat healthy so it’s not easy. Even pregnant I eat fruits, vegetables and only drink water ( never really been a soda drinker).
