2025.01.23 03:21 Zestyclose-Algae-391 Porting Issues (AT&T to Verizon) Number in limbo. Help!!
I switched carriers to Verizon from AT&T before Christmas and am still having issues with my number. When I switched to Verizon, we submitted the porting request (with account number and transfer pin), got our new phones, and gave them our old phones. Now we cannot receive or make any phone calls & we are not getting texts with codes to authenticate ourselves. I checked on the verizon porting website, and its saying the porting cannot be completed because the transfer pin we originally submitted does not match AT&T's records. I've been in contact with Verizon customer service, and they basically told me my number is in limbo.
I've already tried porting out with AT&T (again) online through my account, but there is no "wireless" option under the people and permissions tab like the website instructions say. I've also contacted an agent with AT&T who told me Verizon already has my number and thats why I am unable to find the transfer pin. I've also called *PORT but it doesn't work because I now have a Verizon device. How am I supposed to fix this? Has anyone had this same issue and resolved it? It's important we keep our numbers for work purposes.
The only other ideas I have is to contact AT&T to see if they can activate our numbers again so I can get the transfer pin, but I'm not sure if we need our original devices for that or not. Any other ideas?

So I wrote her an apology letter. After 2ish months of breakup and 1.5 months of no contact. I found myself not able to move on without apologizing as I messed up so much and didn’t realize it until I started reflecting during no contact. It includes four front to back pages of apologies such as insecurity and arguments and controllingness, one page of apologizing to family for not building a relationship much with them, and one page explains my feelings on the breakup and how I feel I was blindsided. I sent it yesterday and honestly was a little worried about the results. Through the grapevine I have heard that she did open it, is thankful for it, and talked to her family about everything that same night. I also learned she dosent hate me which makes me feel great. I wrote in the letter how I would be eternally grateful if she wrote back but totally understand if she isn’t comfortable with that, and also mentioned how I wouldn’t break no contact and reach out first ever again to respect her wishes. I don’t know exactly my point in writing all this I just think it helps me express. But yeah, I only sent it when I felt ready no matter the outcome, no matter if she threw it away instantly or wanted to rekindle or whatever else. I feel if you think there’s no real downside to writing an apology letter, write one, especially if it’s gonna help you move on. It’s only been one day so a write back is still up in the air. Im not gonna lie, I would love the idea of slowly rekindling, but I’m keeping my expectations at 0 for both any chance of rekindling, and any chance of a write-back. I have no expectations, just appreciation for if it happens. I’ll update this post most likely if I do happen to get a write back but if I don’t I can move on knowing I have done absolutely everything I could have done. So yeah 👍
