Getting my first pair of skis this year. I've been skiing a few weeks a year since I was 4 (I'm 17 now), mainly Colorado, but want to get a ski that I will be able to use in any area for when I go off to college.
I'm 6'3", 195 lbs. I would call myself a high advanced/low expert skier, can ski pretty much everything except cliffs, but not blazing through double blacks or windows at super high speeds. I spend almost all my time on resort skiing, 60% on piste, 40% off. I'm never in the park. Looking for a 1 ski quiver that can do everything, I go decently fast on groomers (top speed of 75ish mph last year), and ski a mix of blue and black lines on moguls.
My top skis that I'm considering right now are the Kore 93 (deomoed these last year and loved them), Ripstick 96 Black Edition, Unleashed 98, Peak 98, or Bent 90. Any of these stand out as a clear winner or any other skis I should be looking at?

Hi everyone, I just want to share my experience, and maybe to warn anyone interested in buying a new Honda Pilot. Some context: I bought mine on May last year, a 2025 Pilot Touring, after 4 months I've started to notice a weird clicking / ticking noise (almost like a computer mouse fast clicking but louder) when steering at low speed, and specially when reverse parking or leaving from a parking spot. The sound didn't seemed to be a CV joint to me, I had issues in the past with older cars and cv joints and it was not that metal grinding sound. So, I've decided to take it with a family friend (mechanic) and asked him to hear the noise, since I'm still under warranty, I only wanted a profesional to hear the noise and give me an idea of what could be the issue, my friend confirmed that definitely didn't sound like a bad cv joint, but it sounded almost like the steering rack pinion was assembled "too tight" and causing the clicking noise when steering.
So before taking it to the dealership I've decided to do my own research, and it seems like it is a common issue, even on Pilots in the USA (well mine technically is from the states, as the units sold here get manufactured in Kentucky). I've found the following posts, where people describe exactly the same issue and the same conditions that triggers the clicking/ticking sound.

Basically it seems to be an issue related to the steering rack. The sound intensity increases with warm weather, or after a long ride but it is less noticeable with cold weather and short rides. Not very noticeable driving at regular speed, or highway speed, but noticeable on slow speed and extremely noticeable when parking/ reverse parking.
People with 2023 and 2024 models have been reporting the same issue. I've checked on the official Honda website in the country I currently living in, and it doesn't have any recall.
Most of the people in the posts I have shared, say that changing the steering rack only fix the issue a couple of months then it came back. Very few seem to report the sound was gone for good, after the dealership changed the steering rack or the clock spring.
I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the Honda pilot, as it is not a cheap car, for instance, my touch screen sometimes act funky with some extreme heat, and/or slightly cold weather, the car only has 4950 KM (3075 miles on it).
I dread taking it to the dealership, because things here don't work the way they should (or at least the way they do in the USA), I'm afraid they will mess something else. I don't have big hopes, as the issue seems to be unresolved for a lot of folks in the states, that has a bigger market for the Honda Pilot, here probably will get overlooked. I know I will have to bite the bullet and just take it, but it annoys me that such an expensive new car is showing issues already.
Please keep in mind this potential issue before buying one...
Also, has anyone experienced this issue too? Did you get it resolved?

2025.01.23 03:50 scrooters What happened to my torch?
I been using dabs since christmas and my torch (since yesterday) has been acting up. Making hissing noises after filling (longer than it should), hissing upside down, not producing fire even when full.
Just now it stopped working but it would put out a small flame but in a way a lighter would? And it would stay there on its own until I blew it out myself. Butane leaked out the safety switch and my dumb self tried to light it again and it caught fire lmao. Did I use it too much?

Hello. Booked a London trip last May for July 2024 on my United account. Ex cheated and I cancelled the trip receiving flight credits for both our flights. Used my half for a Europe trip with friends this march.
I have about $1300 in flight credit that says Begin travel by: March 3rd 2024 with her name as the traveler. Is there anything I can do to 1: Get the flight credit in my name so that I can use it, and 2: keep the flight credit for longer (make flight and then cancel to extend by a year) or exchange for something.

I have 2 e90s, the one I want to upgrade is a 2011 model year with audio option code 0676 and it frankly sucks but the rest of the car is awesome. The other one sounds better even over a catless with one little muffler n52 screaming all the time lol. What are my best options here? Can someone please explain to me why the richest men in the world are so openly evil? Presumably, as people with hundreds of billions of dollars, they would be able to carry out their oligarchical agendas and acts of violence quietly. Maybe they could even afford total anonymity (idk my brain can’t comprehend that amount of money). Yet, they choose not to invest in their own privacy.They choose to allow the general public to see that they are inciting evil, and abusing power. What benefit does that serve them?
(Note: I understand that by living in the public eye they get an ego boost and that they gain some political power, which they can then use to make even more money. But they also open themselves up to public criticism and the chance of retaliation. People cant point fingers at or rebel against a ruling class that they don’t know exists. Wouldn’t that entice them to pay for privacy? Wouldn’t anonymity keep them & their money more protected? — Are they too dumb to think about that? — Is it greed and a constant need to keep amassing wealth that keeps them from being secretive? — Is it solely an Ego thing? What’s their end goal?…… OR is it simply that money no longer affords us the opportunity to purchase privacy,& even the richest men in the world can not purchase it?)
